Owner description: We are a group of 15 individual Jaunting Car Tour Operators which have amalgamated to form this partnership. Most of us are Second and Third generation Jaunting car operators. To date we have been operating as individual operators but feel that we need to pool together our knowledge and experience to stay on top of the ever changing market. Our experience spans over 350 years combined. We have up to 25 carriages which allow us to cater for large groups as well as smaller groups. We are proud to have the oldest Jarvey (Jaunting car operator) in Killarney with us, who boasts an impressive 50 years of experience. We are proud to be in operation 7 days a week, 364 days a year, making Killarney Horse & Carriage Tours Killarney's only all year round tour operators!

A group of us hired two of the Jaunting Cars to take us for an hour's drive round part of the Killarney National Park on the 10th October. It was a lovely sunny morning but cool. Our horse was Sally, and our driver was John, and we all had a very relaxing, entertaining, informative and enjoyable hour or so, with... More

Eight of us took the carriage tour (one way) from the center of Killarney to the Muckross house. The driver was very nice but difficult to hear what he was saying. The ride while lovely was not that long. We ended up paying 12 Euros a person (96 euros total or $126.00 U.S.) which seemed high considering the length of... More

Look for the guy with the white cowboy hat and horse Patrick. He gave a great commentary and he was so generous with his stops. He made an extra stop for us and you have to do this if with your wife girlfriend or even just a friend the views are amazing

Brigid from Friars Glen suggested we go to Torc Waterfall and take a jaunting cart to take us around Muckross House grounds because my husband had difficulty walking long distances. We drove into the parking lot and immediately met Darren and his horse Buster who gave us the most enjoyable trip around the grounds and Abbey. Darren was very knowledgeable... More

This is a great experience as you get to see the park, which is closed to vehicles. At the far end of the ride is Ross Castle, with time to walk around and look at amazing views. Our driver was knowledgeable about the town and park and happy to chat and answer our questions. We saw stags and deer in... More

We took the tour through Killarney national park and Ross castle. We were picked up right at our hotel. It was a bit of a cold day but they were prepared with warm blankets. We really enjoyed this relaxing ride and I would highly recommend it!

We had a horse and carriage ride, leaving at Ross Castle and going through the forest and meadows with views of the lakes and a nice view of the castle. The horse was named Rosie. Our guide told us a little bit about the different plants and trees in the National Park and did stop so we could get a... More

We took the 5 hr tour. Boat ride from Ross Castle, through lakes to jaunting carts through Gap of Dunlop to cottage. This was the high light og out trip to Ireland. Boat ride was cold ,luckily not wet. Scenery was something I never would have seen on my own.

The first day we arrived in Killarney, we did not have any tours planned. It was a free day for us. We asked our hotel's front desk about fun things to do and she recommended we take a jaunt through the park and to see Ross Castle. So we did just that. And it was a great experience. The horse... I called a day before and the next morning there were Michael and Bob (the horse) waiting to pick us up. They took us for a spin around Killarney National Park, what a lovely time! Michael knew a great deal about the park, it's plant life, history of the structures, its history in general. There was a little rain and... More
