Most of us are Second and Third generation Jaunting car operators. To date we have been operating as individual operators but feel that we need to pool together our knowledge and experience to stay on top of the ever changing market. Our experience spans over 350 years combined. We have up to 25 carriages which allow us to cater for large groups as well as smaller groups. We are proud to have the oldest Jarvey (Jaunting car operator) in Killarney with us, who boasts an impressive 50 years of experience. We are proud to be in operation 7 days a week, 364 days a year, making Killarney Horse & Carriage Tours Killarney's only all year round tour operators! « less

We had a horse and carriage ride, leaving at Ross Castle and going through the forest and meadows with views of the lakes and a nice view of the castle. The horse was named Rosie. Our guide told us a little bit about the different plants and trees in the National Park and did stop so we could get a... More

We took the 5 hr tour. Boat ride from Ross Castle, through lakes to jaunting carts through Gap of Dunlop to cottage. This was the high light og out trip to Ireland. Boat ride was cold ,luckily not wet. Scenery was something I never would have seen on my own.

The first day we arrived in Killarney, we did not have any tours planned. It was a free day for us. We asked our hotel's front desk about fun things to do and she recommended we take a jaunt through the park and to see Ross Castle. So we did just that. And it was a great experience. The horse... I called a day before and the next morning there were Michael and Bob (the horse) waiting to pick us up. They took us for a spin around Killarney National Park, what a lovely time! Michael knew a great deal about the park, it's plant life, history of the structures, its history in general. There was a little rain and... More

Our jaunting cart ride was exceptional! I enjoyed the scenery as well as our host. Michael had a wonderful sense of humor and shared an immense amount of knowledge of the area. Thank you, Michael, for a wonderfull time.

We took two Jaunting Car rides during our stay in Killarney. One to the Killarney Horse Race and then the next day to the Ross Castle. Both times we found the drivers very informative about the town and the history of the area. We found the rides relaxing and the drivers very nice. We would recommend this to anyone.

Killarney is absolutely charming and the park is a must see. If we were to go back we would plan it more in June for better weather and the flowers would be in bloom in the park

I highly reccomend having a jaunt if you are in killarney. My only advise is to take one from torc waterfall through the park pass muckross house & on to the abbey. You get better value for money. See more of the park, I found the jarveys there very friendly. Well worth the money

We went on the horse & carriage tour fifteen minutes after arriving in Killarney, as we were with a tour group and I guess that was the only time we could go. They picked us up at the hotel and at first it was a little intimidating to see the horse and carriage go right out into traffic with cars,... More

We took a jaunting cart with Seamus the cart pony and his young driver to Muckross House from the parking lot off the N road. Our driver was excellent and very entertaining. The gardens at Muckross House are well worth the visit. The price, 10 Euros per person, was the same as we paid on the Aran Islands but the... More
