Buckleys Bar - Killarney Town Centre Traditional Pub At the heart of Killarney's traditional Irish music scene. Some of the country's finest musicians often drop in for an 'unplanned, unprogrammed and unamplified' session. With or without music, Buckley's is a beautiful place to sit and discuss the world. Its oak paneled walls and turf fire reflect the timelessness of a good Irish pub, combining character, characters and good cráic.

We always stop in to Buckley's for a drink. Good drinks and friendly owner and bartenders. We spent New Years Eve here a few years ago and stayed till it closed because it was a grand time.

We went Into Buckley's on our last night in Kilarney, despite staying at the Arbutus! What a gem! Tasty Irish home cooking, friendly service and live music from about 10 ( ish... Irish time!) on Fridays and Saturdays. Nothing pretentious. If you want to drink with the locals, this is the place for you. Get in early if you want... More

We stumbled upon this one while looking to find space in a pub that featured live Irish music. We were not disappointed. The group of musicians were excellent. I sat with a lovely couple from Cork who were in Killarney on their 50th anniversary. What a lovely chat I had!! Excellent music, great time. Mostly locals which was great!

As my wife's maiden name is Buckley we absolutely had to go there! It is for for locals but that is what made it so special! From the time we met Tom ( the affable friendly bartender ) , Morris ( the postman ) and Kieran ( the friendly local ) ....we had a ball ! Lots of laughs and... More

Walked in. Got our drinks and barman made a snide comment and we left straight away. We work in the hotel few door down. I will never ever recommend this bar and hotel to any of my guest.

We happened into this pub by chance. The locals seemed to far outnumber the tourists (not common in central Killarney). We heard some great traditional Irish music with players young and old.

My wife and I stopped by Buckley's upon our arrival in Killarney and we loved it! Great food and amazing pints. Tom, the bartender, was friendly and a fantastic conversation. He offered up some wonderful suggestions of things to do around the area. We also met some lovely locals who definitely liked to talk and made our stay at Buckley's... More

Buckley's was welcoming and lovely. We stopped in for early dinner and got directions and tips from Maeve the bartender, who was funny and informative. She even made our teenaged son feel welcome. The pub felt the least touristy of all the places we went to and the music was non-amplified and therefore, in our opinion, more pleasant. We will... More

Spend Sunday afternoon at Buckley's listening to a traditional Irish music "seisson" from local musicians. Bartender was very gracious. Guinness was flowing and the music was playing, not a bad recipe for a gray and rainy day in Killarney!
