If you aren't castled-out, you should really attend the medieval banquet at Dunguaire. We were pretty done by the time we visited Dunguaire, so we didn't stay for the banquet. But, it looked like a lot of fun!

Dunguaire Castle is definitely a must see. We enjoyed visiting the castle and also enjoyed the gift shop. The jewelry maker onsite was especially a bonus.

Food was great. Intertainment was okay, not typical Irish. Perhaps they could make it a little livelier. But everyone must experience one medieval banquet.

First off let me suggest to visit the castle during the day because you cannot tour the castle during banquet hours. We happened to stop with the intention of just looking around thinking we could tour the castle before the banquet and were told they close the castle to tours to prepare for the banquet. Since we had tickets for... More

We did a quick Photo Op. at the castle only. Photo perfect on the Bay. Parking convient about 500 meters up the road.

This is one of these places where history comes together in a way that you feel how things once were. The castle, banquet, and entertainment made this a truly memorable time. If you have the opportunity, do this. The food was excellent, service outstanding, and entertainment enjoyable and informative.

Went as par of a group tour. We gathered for harp playing & mead in lobby. Show was poetic & funny. The food was good & we could have red wine, white wine, fruit punch or water to drink with the meal. I took the stairs to the restroom & got a little lost returning to the banquet hall (lol).... We went to Dunguaire while visiting Ireland with a group from school. It was great entertainment, good food and a lot of fun. Very neat atmosphere and very interactive. We very much enjoyed experiencing Irish mead and eating in a castle. This is definitely a very tourist activity but can be great craic!
