Fun place to go!

Though it was small and crowed the music and beer we so good! Great staff and service. Go early if you want a seat or you'll be standing the door way but that's ok too!

Nice pub with friendly staff. It's quite small so maybe go in during the day when it's not so busy. There are great photos all around the walls and the Guinness was good too.

This is one of the few places where all the reviews were spot on. All the local (and visiting) musicians hang out here and they are exceptional. We had only planned on staying for a pint, but ended up staying for a few more and even some Yellow Spot 12 to go with the music. Lovely people in the bar,... More

Went for a few jars on a Monday night. Music was lively and of the highest standard - jigs, reels and the odd hornpipe echoed over the buzz of happy supping. Definitely recommend it - sessions everyday 5:30 and 9:30, later one was less crowded and a better craic!

We had heard better Irish music, but still enjoyed our time at this pub. We were there in the late afternoon, so we avoided the large crowds that usually inhabit this pub. We enjoyed the authenticity of the Irish atmosphere here, and had a very pleasant time.

Most Galway bars are packed on Saturday night but this place (where I was last night) is very nice - good atmosphere, good pint of Guinness, attentive staff despite being so busy. I would recommend it.

A friendly pub with some excellent Irish music and the atmosphere was immense! However, it did get claustrophobic as it was cramped but I certainly enjoyed it.

Does exactly what it says on the tin! Old Irish trad pub with live music being played quite a lot! The Guinness was lovely there and the whole place had a really good atmosphere!

Had a great couple of pints at this quaint establishment. Great friendly bartenders even though one of us told us that the next place we were planning to visit was a stinkhole, he kindly suggested that we stay in Galway instead. Free Irish music from 5:30 till 7 and then again in the later evening.

Most of the pub Irish music starts at 9:30. So, if you're not into a late night to catch pub music, this is an excellent choice. They have a good selection of beers. If going for the music, expect to stand and be very crunched in among those gathered around the musicians -- as will be the case anywhere that... More
