We went to Dublin for St Patricks Day for a number of years but were disappointed that on that special day pubs played pop music! Then we went to Galway and what a good decision! Tig Coili has it all, lots of friendly people enjoying lots of Guinness and listening to lots of real traditional music! It will definitely be... More

Tig coili's makes for a great night out. No food, just good traditional music, drink and conversation. Be sure to get there early because everynight is busy at Tig Coili's. For earlybirds, there is an early trad session. Pull up a stool, savour a pintand enjoy good craic.

I lived in Galway for four years, and I always send/bring people who are looking for a traditional Irish pub to Tig Choili. Normally traditional Irish bands playing and a great atmosphere. Worth a visit in the centre of Galway

I came to this pub on a Sunday night expecting it to be quiet, but as the evening progressed it became busier and livelier. Then the musicians arrived and things really got going. I have not seen such a talented group play so naturally together and the atmosphere, jigs and reels were intoxicating. I long for the day I can... More

I spent a night in Galway and ventured into this delightful little pub for a glass of Guinness and some trad music on a Sunday night. The place was packed, beer was flowing, music too. I ended up finding the last spot in a snug for one, or maybe two, towards the back of the bar. It was fun being... More

This place was great! Even though it was crammed, it was full of life and good points of Guinness. The walls are covered in photographs, news clippings, and much more; it's cool to look around and see history in the making and hear the stories that go with them. They have trad music at night and the service was fantastic.... More

When I said to my partner "let's go to Ireland for New Year, I'd like to spend it in a little pub with some live jolly music like in all Irish films I've ever seen" I didn't expect to find everything I wanted in the first pub I walked in to, but I did. Tig Coili was perfect. Crammed jolly... More

This is the Sister Pub to The Killarney in Ludlow Vermont. We found Tig Colli after a long search through Ireland and loved it. We will be back.
