We loved this tour so much we returned the next day for another day trip with Walter! Our first trip with Walter was to The Burren and The Cliffs of Moher and the following day we visited Cong. Our two day trips were definitely the highlight of our time in Ireland. The small group allowed for flexibility in our day... More

We travel a lot and we are often promised services which are not materialized. But by the Celtic Compass they exceeded our expectations, the most important of all was the small group, we were 8 people and the guide who was wonderful and very knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone travelling to Galway.

The philosophy of the excursion is to have a small group and walk into less beaten tracks, as opposed to hyper-touristic tours that perpetuate Irish stereotypes. We really enjoyed the day out (it was sunny :)), the magnificient views and places and got to know the other people from all over the World in the group.

This was one of our favorite things we did in Ireland, actually in all of europe! It wasn't just because we went to the cliffs- it was because of the amazing quality of this tour! There were only about 8 people on the tour all together so we got a lot of great information that was personalized to what we... More

My friend booked us with Celtic Compass tours and I'm really glad she did. This turned out to be such a fun, memorable day with a buffet of everything that Ireland could deliver. Stunning scenery, gorgeous animals, Irish roads, castles, ruins, crosses, the sea and more. Walter is a great guide and driver. He will also work around your interests... More

We had the best day of our trip to Ireland on Walter's tour. We took a great leisurely hike through the Burren, stopped numerous times to see the donkeys and wild horses at the side of the road, saw Celtic Crosses, Dunguaire Castle, Poulnabrone Dolmen and the breathtaking Cliffs of Mohr. He was attentive, knowledgeable and answered our endless questions... More

This was such a great day trip, we loved the fact that we didn't spend much time on the bus, instead we were walking in the burren and taking in the beautiful Irish landscapes. We had plenty of time to enjoy the Cliffs of Moher, which were absolutely breathtaking. Walter was a wonderful, cheerful, informative guide, and we loved patting... More

Fantastic tour! Very enjoyable, and Walter was a fantastic easy-going guide, informative but not talking just for the sake of it! Having the small group was very nice as well as it was easier to chat with other people on the tour. Plenty of time allocated to each attraction, never felt in the least bit rushed during the day. I'll... More

Our family of four took the Burren/Cliffs of Moher tour. What a great day. A beautiful hike up Abbey Hill in the Burren, with beautiful vistas of the countryside and Galway Bay. Stop for lunch. Then a ride to the Cliffs of Moher -- also wonderful. Walter, the tour guide, was great. Informative, low key, friendly, and very patient with... More

Excellent experience with a small group! I really enjoyed the trip which has mixed, hikking, sight seeing, nice atmosphere, some story about the surrounding area, irish music (modern and traditionnal) and the kindness of our "great" guide Walter!! I really recommand that tour for all who enjoy the countryside and the wildness in Ireland!
