My 10 year old son and I had a wonderful evening at tunes in the church this evening. It was lovely to get up close to great music & musicians in relaxed atmosphere.

Looking for an authentic experience in Ireland? We attended a performance of traditional Irish music in Tunes in the Church and our little group thought it was the highlight of their visit to Ireland. The church acoustics are fantastic and the setting is perfect. In addition to simply playing moving Irish melodies the group of musicians invited guests to ask... More

We found this on trip advisor. We were looking for traditional music in the pubs and were disappointed. This exceeded all of our expectations. The sound and quality of the musicians was extraordinary. We also loved the short tour during intermission. The church has an amazing history that we didn't get when we visited alone before the concert.

Plan to arrive 20-30 minutes early so you can get a close seat. This will give you time to explore the church too. The night we attended featured a first act of two Irish performers, one a dancer who also played music. They were great and the raised stage gave good visibility of the dance steps. The second half were... More

A very friendly, well-presented concert of traditional Irish music. A nice change from pubs where hearing the music can be difficult.

This is the venue for folks who want a quiet, relaxing evening of excellent Irish music and dance without the pub scene. St. Nicholas church is beautiful and filled with history. The performers are all first class. These are the best of the best, who are happy to share their talents with others. If you're looking for the real deal... More

Great music, from traditional Irish instruments and musicians. Very talented bunch. A little too soft spoken for the church atmosphere; we could barely hear them talk from the back row of seats. But the music came through clearly.

I stumbled upon this concert, and it ended up being the highlight of my stay in Galway. Fantastic music, friendly people, and a history lesson all in one. I wish I could go back again before I leave Ireland.
