Great venue. Acoustics are excellent. Young Begley was extraordinary on the concertina . Maitiu O'Casseide almost was superlative on the uilleann pipes but it's not from the wind he got it. Inni-k has a fantastic voice. Liam O'Maonlai did a beautiful of version of the hackneyed (but not in this case) of 'Raglan Road'. Peter O'Toole added a mature muscicality.... More

... in a lovely, atmospheric venue. The musicians were enthralling, not just by dint of the music they played, but by dint of everything we learned in between the pieces as they talked about composers, instruments and meanings. Great way to spend an evening!

We heard a male Celtic Harpist first, then two men who played traditional Irish music - one of whom inserted some Irish humor between songs. A young female Irish dancer joined them for a couple of pieces. The total audience may have been 30-40 people that night. It was a terrific experience!

This was a brilliant evening of music, dance and interactive discussion with the performance artists. A friend and I decided to really experience Trad music and dancing without being crammed into a pub. There were about 40-50 people in attendance. Located in St. Nicholas Church, This intimate candle lit setting allowed the performers and the audience the opportunity to interact... More

We loved listening to traditional Irish music with the wonderful acoustics of the church and with immensely talented Irish musicians. You might miss the ambience of the pubs, but you really do get quality in every other possible way. I'd pick this over the pubs every day.

I had an awesome night at Tunes in the Church. The artists were all very talented and preformed Irish music. The night was traditional and seemed authentic. St. Nicholas' Collegiate Church where it is held is within walking distance of the city center. The night was not Christian religion themed like I though it I might have been due to... More

Really interesting experience and not too long.Would recommend these concerts.Good value for money and the setting is magnificent. The brief tour of St Nicholas' church during the break was most informative.

Intimate and at the same time powerful concert. Well organised and not expensive for one hour and a half of good music outside the pubs. Great sound too.

My family and I had an exceptional experience at Tunes in the Church hearing and learning about traditional Celtic music. The setting is simple and beautiful. The artists are engaging and gifted. We'd strongly recommend people check this out when in Galway!
