I went on this tour today, and loved every minute. Don't think I've ever been in the company of a better guide, Lorcan Collins is to be commended for his knowledge, passion about the 1916 Rising and his eloquence. I'd go again!

My husband and I took this tour when we visited Dublin on our recent trip to Ireland and it was one of the highlights of our Dublin trip. Our guide Lorcan was very informative and had a wonderful sense of humor making this a fun tour. Even though we had done a significant amount of some research about the uprising... More

My son and I had the good fortune to learn of this tour when Lorcan was dropping off flyers at the post office while we were inquiring about the building's role in Irish history. The following day we arrived at the International Bar in time to walk the tour with Lorcan. After a brief overview of the event we walked... More

This tour gave an excellent insight into the rebellion as we saw the important sights and the stories of how that week unfolded. The guide was an excellent story teller and transported us back to 1916. I walked away really feeling that I had got a lasting understanding about that important rebellion in Irish history.

The tour was the highlight of my long weekend in Dublin. I would have classed myself as knowledgeable and well read on the Easter Rising compared to the layman, but the details and anecdotes given by the guide, Shane, if I remember correctly brought things to another level. I would have to disagree with an earlier review stating not to... More

This walking tour was an amazing experience. My brother and I are huge historical buffs, and we really enjoy experiencing the cultural and historical sides of the places we visit. This tour was a great look into the rebellion history of Ireland and the the path to independence for this small country. The guide is extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about... More

If you want to know more about the history of Dublin particularly the 1916 Rising this is a must see! Forget the Viking boat tours you cannot beat walking around the city with someone like Lorcan who actually knows his subject, is invaluable compared to someone who is well rehearsed from a script. This is a must do tour which... More

Lorcan literally "wrote the book" on the Easter Rising of 1916. He is just the man for the job of guiding and teaching the history of Ireland's history. If you have even a little connection to the Emerald Isle, you will leave this tour with a new spark. Just wonderful.

Lorcan was both informative and witty. Great tour for those wanting to understand Ireland better, and to see historical sights central to the Easter Rising.

Very interesting and well prepared tour. Lorcan welcomed us with a little brochure containing important names and facts, to read before we started the walk. Then he guided us around to these landmarks in the heart of Dublin. He has great knowledge and is also very entertaining! We also could buy a great guide book: "The Easter Rising, a guide... More
