I wondered how this would go after hearing great things from my brother and his father-in-law. I know a fair amount about the happenings of 1916 but never really visited all the spots in Dublin that have the history. Lorcan Collins led the way through the streets for almost 3 hours, pointing out the bullet holes up and down O'Connell... More

I love walking tours and this is one of the best. Lorcan Collins, author and local historian, conducts you on a tour of 1916 Dublin as he explains the causes and results of the Easter Rising that helped create modern Ireland. He gives a presentation that is informative, yet entertaining and often humorous in its delivery. He begins with a... More

Entertaining and informative tour. Lorcan Collins, co-author of "The Easter Rising - A Guide to Dublin in 1916", was our guide. He knows his stuff and brings it to life. Took us to places you would not even know were involved in the events. He could also be a standup comic. Very dry Irish wit that added to the experience... More

This was a great walking tour. It was educational and entertaining - more like storytelling and you're in the middle of the adventure. Having read some history of the 1916 Easter Rising it was fascinating to walk in the footsteps of the Rebels. The guide Lorcan is steeped in this piece of history and is clearly very passionate about it.... More

If you do only one tour in Dublin,do this...A roller coaster ride of wit, passion and eloquence, delivered by Lorcan with the speed of a machine gun ;) As a lover of History, and especially British Bungling i thoroughly enjoyed this tour and now have plenty of reading to do! I hope Dublin preserves the 1916 sites and gets the Museum... More

Our group of 6 did this tour last week on the recommendation of a friend who had just returned from Dublin and taken the tour. There is no doubt that Lorcan knows his Irish history. There was a large group taking the tour that day and Lorcan grabbed and maintained the interest of all. He had a sharp wit and... More

History and entertainment...... all in one...!! We spent a super two hours wandering through the streets of Dublin with the hugely enjoyable, informative and humorous Lorcan Collins on his 1916 Rebellion Walking Tour of Dublin. Lorcan had volumes of stories, both historical and personal, which had everyone - both foreign tourists and locals (like ourselves) - enthralled. His delivery brought... More

The 1916 Rebellion Walking Tour is a great way to learn about Irish history, even if you're not familiar with it beforehand. We met Lorcan at the International bar, where we were given a short introductory talk before we left for the walk. I have a great personal interest in history, especially our own, but Lorcan's talk left no doubt... More

Lorcan's 1916 tour is fantastic. It was really refreshing to have guide who isn't just going through the motions but is really passionate about history and has thoroughly researched the area. Great for tourists and locals.

Lorcan Collins was entrancing, and had such a wicked sense of humour. A delightful 2+hrs well spent and exceptional value for money. I would recommend the Rebellion 1916 Tour to anyone visiting Dublin, we will definitely take the tour again when in Dublin if only to enjoy Lorcans wit and very rapid deliverance. I think it helps to have a... More
