We were interested to learn more about the 1916 Easter Rising in the centenary year. The guide was well informed and the delivery kept everyone well entertained. I was worried that it would hard to hear with the city noise but it was no problem. Would recommend this to both locals and tourists.

We went on Shane Kenna's tour and it was brilliant. I have done alot of historical tours in Dublin and I think this is the best -very interactive. The highlight was Moore St and the laneway off Henry st -such a fascinating story of the rebels exiting the GPO... Shane made the history engaging and entertaining and had some great... More

We were lucky to have Conor Kostick as our guide. He did a masterful job of distilling this important piece of Irish revolutionary history down to an understandable and compelling narrative. The tour was well-paced and interesting - the time flew by. We were in Dublin for a few days and in the days following this tour, we visited Kilmainham... More

Excellent 2 hour tour - provided not only fascinating details about the rising itself and its protagonists but also explained its historical context and consequences in a very engaging manner.

Rory was our tour guide, very informative, smart and engaging. He was very happy to take one-on-one questions and was a great raconteur. I'd thoroughly recommend the walking tour, which is more a gentle ramble, suitable for all ages, especially of course given the year!

Shane was our guide and he had an amazing knowledge about the 1916 rebellion. Few jokes along the way too! Went to lots of sites, trinity, liberty hall, o Connell st, gpo, Moore st, and.the garden of remembrance.. coming from someone who knows little about these times, I was hooked on.every word of the tour, it is ticked off my... A friend recommended the 1916 Walking Tour when we mentioned that we were taking our first trip to Ireland, and I am very glad he did. The walking tour is an excellent introduction to Dublin, and to an important aspect of Irish history. Over the course of a couple of (chilly) hours, we developed a great appreciation for the city... Enjoyable. Do it. It helps if you have some idea of what happened. Too much emphasis on the sniper story. Great coverage of the Moore St. happenings. They should have visited some of the other sites; City Hall and College of Surgeons.

We enjoyed a thoroughly informative, interesting and entertaining tour on Saturday a.m. with our very knowledgeable guide Lorcan Collins, who has a great bit of humour about him. We were all very pleased that we did the tour and we all learnt a lot and feel that we understand the circumstances leading to the 'rising' far better than before, plus... More
