I've grown a bit weary of tour guides over the years who just recite a rehearsed speech. Be very certain this tour is nothing like those! Lorcan Collins is bursting with knowledge and enthusiasm and humor - you will not be bored for a second. His love of this history is infectious and instantly creates an air of camaraderie...never enjoyed... More

Best walking tour I've ever done! Lorcan Collins was born for this job. He brings so much humour to this serious topic and who doesn't enjoy a giggle! Great atmosphere and very informative. His voice is still ringing in my ears ! Well done Loz

Lorcan is extremely knowledgeable and an energetic tour guide. This tour is great for anyone who is actively interested in 1916 history (there were some major history buffs on the tour) or someone who is a complete novice (like me). It really provides great historical context for the monuments and buildings you would normally pass and wonder about. I highly... More

This was really interesting tour. Highly recommended to anyone interested in Irish history. It didn't however hold the children's (12 & 10) attention but they still got a great walk.

I really enjoyed this walking tour. History came alive with Lorcan our guide leading the way. He has a real passion for his subject. The meeting place was easy to find and it ends in the same place the International Bar. Lots of good information about Dublin. Thanks so much for a wonderful few hours.

The tour began in the basement of the International Bar where enthusiastic 1916 Rebellion expert Lorcan Collins set the scene of the pre-Easter uprising, complete with detailed backgrounds of the people involved and how it all came together. Then the group walked through Dublin with Lorcan giving wonderful, colorful, and interesting information at each stop, with a lot of humor... More

Am not going to lie to you I was dreading this. Was my husbands birthday and he chose to spend the day in Dublin on the walk. Am not particularly politically aware truth be told. And am not a great walker! I read up on the whole experience and Lorcan was the lynchpin. Imagine my distress when we get to... More

I wondered how this would go after hearing great things from my brother and his father-in-law. I know a fair amount about the happenings of 1916 but never really visited all the spots in Dublin that have the history. Lorcan Collins led the way through the streets for almost 3 hours, pointing out the bullet holes up and down O'Connell... More

I love walking tours and this is one of the best. Lorcan Collins, author and local historian, conducts you on a tour of 1916 Dublin as he explains the causes and results of the Easter Rising that helped create modern Ireland. He gives a presentation that is informative, yet entertaining and often humorous in its delivery. He begins with a... More
