A really interesting and worthwhile tour. John, our guide, was very knowledgeable and led our small group to the key sites giving a balanced insight into the background and context. Amusing and very open to questions and comments. Highly recommended.

We had a great walk today with Shane and we learnt a lot. Fantastic. Highly recommended to understand Ireland a bit better.

This was an excellent experience, Lorcan knows his stuff inside out and narrates the tour with facts, great anecdotes and humour with just a touch of sarcasm! A great way to spend a couple of hours in Dublin and getting educated in the process.

I recently attended this tour. Our tour guide was Shane and he was knowledgeable and explained everything very clearly. This tour is suitable for people who have prior knowledge of Irish history and the Easter Rising and for people who are unfamiliar with this area of history. The tour moves from the meeting place, up to Trinity College, up o'connell... More

As someone who has enjoyed reading about the Irish independence struggle for over 10 years I wasn't approaching the tour as a 'tabula rasa' but as someone who wanted a further visual insight in the events of the 1916 Eater Rising. Our guide was Shane who amiably welcomed us at the International Bar in the centre of Dublin. We were... More

I've grown a bit weary of tour guides over the years who just recite a rehearsed speech. Be very certain this tour is nothing like those! Lorcan Collins is bursting with knowledge and enthusiasm and humor - you will not be bored for a second. His love of this history is infectious and instantly creates an air of camaraderie...never enjoyed... More

Best walking tour I've ever done! Lorcan Collins was born for this job. He brings so much humour to this serious topic and who doesn't enjoy a giggle! Great atmosphere and very informative. His voice is still ringing in my ears ! Well done Loz

Lorcan is extremely knowledgeable and an energetic tour guide. This tour is great for anyone who is actively interested in 1916 history (there were some major history buffs on the tour) or someone who is a complete novice (like me). It really provides great historical context for the monuments and buildings you would normally pass and wonder about. I highly... More

This was really interesting tour. Highly recommended to anyone interested in Irish history. It didn't however hold the children's (12 & 10) attention but they still got a great walk.
