We lucked into Lorcan though I hear all the guides are good. An unforgettable morning, I could have gone all day. Lorcan has his strong points of view, a great sense of humor, and an encyclopedic knowledge of the subject.

Our guide was Rory - every bit as good as Lorcan and the other members of the clan, I'm sure! He was very knowledgeable on so much of Irish history, not just the 1916 Rebellion. Yes, Rory had republican ideals; yes, he was left-wing in his views... but I cannot imagine an account of those 6 days of fighting that... More

A thoroughly enjoyable tour around some of the main 1916 sites with Lorcan who is the most entertaining and knowledgeable you could have. He is also the author of 2 related books you can buy on the tour - the James Connolly biography is especially recommended. Highly recommended

The detail supplied by the tour guide really brought events to life. It is a "must do" tour for anyone interested in the history of Ireland. The humour of the tour guide made it a day to remember. Highlight of the trip!! Robinson clan.

On 6th April 2015, Dublin hosted a 'Road to the Rising' show in the City. Weather was excellent and we joined the Walking Tour with John (Gibney) as our Guide. How the poor man was heard by around 80 people is anyone's guess! Very informative, helpful and answering any question put to him, yet not pushing any opinion on people.... More

This very popular tour begins in the International Bar in South William St. Here you get an oral history of revolutionary Ireland from the famine times (1845) up to 1916. Then the walking tour starts with the major sites involved in the 1916 uprising. Lorcan Collins is a fantastic guide. He has the perfect blend of humour and interesting personal... More

Lorcan was our guide who with his super strong voice ( only one hair dryer managed to drown him out hair dryer Dublin slang for motor bike under 100 CC with no silencer) gave a master class in history and with his way of storytelling and his turn of phrase had the crowd in stitches. One of the best walking... More

A really interesting and worthwhile tour. John, our guide, was very knowledgeable and led our small group to the key sites giving a balanced insight into the background and context. Amusing and very open to questions and comments. Highly recommended.
