This was a really great tour. Lorcan is an incredibly engaging guide and can tell you just about anything you would want to know about any of the characters in the Easter Rising and the Irish Civil War. He also has a really good way of tailoring the tour to those who are on it. As well as giving lots... More

Lorcan was our guide and not one of us in the group wanted to leave at the end, we wanted to spend the whole day. This is the tour for you if you want the real story. These guides are authors on the subject, and you'd know it. I would even go again.

Lorcan was friendly and made us feel as if we were the only ones he was talking to though we had a group of 16 people. He was knowledgeable on every aspect of the events leading up to and including the 1916 Rebellion. He was very entertaining with a lot of non-Rebellion stories of Dublin along the way. This is... We spent an extremely enjoyable two hours yesterday walking around the sites of the 1916 Easter Rising. Lorcan Collins is very knowledgeable about the period and gave us a most insightful experience. We wished to do the trip to learn more about the period due to my grandfather being sentenced to death, my grand aunt being in Cumann n'a mBan... More

The rebellion tour was easy to enter. The price was only 12/14 euros, which is much less than other tours that were available in the city. We had Lorcan as a guide. He is really enthusiastic and knows really a lot about the history of Ireland, especially the uprising etcetera. I have to say that for this tour you really... More

This was an excellent tour. The guide was funny, tremendously knowledgeable, not afraid to share his opinions and a terrifically gifted storyteller. At one point in the tour, my heart was palpably racing as he told of a particularly tense moment. The tour takes you through a large part of Dublin, is not too onerous. In fact, it's just about... I had heard of this tour from my girlfriend and travelled from Belfast with my Father and did the tour with two close friends. Lorcán was extremely informative, humourous and approachable. A professional and passionate tour, a real tribute to the city and it's fascinating history.

Lorcum is not just a spectator telling the history and pointing out interesting things, he is a part of the history and movement, if he had been born 100 years earlier he would have been one of the names being talked about. Its that passion for the history that stands this tour out from the rest. One of the best... More

We took this tour today and were wonderfully overwhelmed with our knowledgable and very intelligent guide, Lorcan Collins. He is a true historian. And he has a wicked fun sense of humor. A must see for anyone interested in Irish history. Also good to tour Kilmainham Gial (jail) before. Helps to be familiar with the persons involved in the revolt.... More
