Mr. Collins is a learned man who concisely and engagingly conveys to you information about the Irish Revolution. Much like other reviewers, my mother turned to me after the briefing before the tour began and told me that if it had ended now, we would have gotten our money's worth. Irish history is extremely complicated yet Lorcan successfully makes accessible... More

Myself and 3 fellow students decided to embark on Lorcan Collins 1916 Rebellion Walking tour and we were not disappointed. From the beginning his passion for the content is unmistakable, and thus began a fantastically informative, entertaining and sometimes sobering take on the 1916 Rising and some events preceding and following. I especially loved that the women involved got a... More

This was a very interesting walking tour of Dublin and the 1916 rebellion. Lots of facts and anecdotes. I brought my 12 year old nephew we both enjoyed and it was very informative but possibly half an hour too long for a 12 year old. It really was great except for the anti government funding rant on Moore street. While... More

Lorcan Collins delivered the best lecture on 1916 Dublin and the Easter rising that I can imagine. It was informative, entertaining (at times laugh out loud funny), and placed the events in the prospective of the physical Dublin location. I and the fourteen people I brought with me raved about the tour and specifically about the tour guide throughout our... More

When I brought a dozen students to Ireland on a travel-learning experience, I had visited nearly every site and taken nearly every tour I brought them on. This tour was a gamble, based mainly on the good reviews here, and it far exceeded my expectations. The tour was informative and offered enough history to be academically worthwhile, but the narrative... More

Did the walk for the first time last weekend on my visit to Ireland. Have been to Dublin many times but this tour gave a fascinating insight into Ireland's history that I have not found anywhere else. Nothing I could write here would do this tour justice! Incredibly interesting, passionate, informative and with a hilarious sense of humour. Cheers Lorcan,... More

Excellent tour, our guide brought the 1916 rising to life. The guide, Shane , was knowledgable, friendly, amusing and patient. The tour gave a great perspective to the rising that books can't quite manage. I highly recommend it .

This walking tour was one of the best I'd ever been on. After studying the literary politics of Ireland with my classmates we traveled in Ireland for two weeks through my university. This tour gave me background information that was essential to know in Dublin. The guide was witty and approachable. His tour was structured carefully so we were engaged... More
