Wanted to visit a real Irish pub, and Grogans was one of them. Old in decor, but great for getting away from tourists. Would visit again! More

This place was such an unexpected trip to heaven, I really don't know where to begin...folks in here are great conversationalists, covering topics ranging from fairies to art to politics...friendly bantering between young and old, merry songs and just about the best time you will ever have. Don't go for a pick-up, crap-tacky music or a sports tele...what you will... More

I feel very tempted to write a scathingly brilliant and awful review, just to keep people out of Grogan's, where it is tough enough to find a seat, even on a Sunday night, but I can't. Here's fair warning to all of you tourists out there looking for a cool place to have a pint in Dublin, especially you fellow... More

A great wee pub, no music, no fruit machines, local art (to buy) on the walls, friendly clientele and staff, chess set behind the bar, a choice of chesse or ham or cheese & ham sandwiches or toasties - that's your lot! Fantastic authentic Irish pub that's always my first and last stop in Dublin, every visit, a great pint... More
