Dublin was our final stop of a whirlwind tour of southern and western Ireland. Our tour guide, Donal, was extremely knowledgeable, well-spoken, and quite entertaining. We learned so much about Ireland's history and each stop on the tour was better than the next. I would HIGHLY recommend going on this tour, especially early in your Dublin stay. While the tour... My 18 year old son and I took this tour on a sunny September morning. We found it enjoyable and enlightening. There was a lot of information conveyed over the two hours but it was refreshing that Tommy worked on the basis that those taking the tour were interested in history and able to absorb a reasonable amount of detail.

We booked this tour via Viator before our cruise stop in Dublin. The tour guide was very, very knowledgable because he was a history professor. We rated this tour average because we found it very difficult to hear his explanations of the sites we visited because we walked along busy city streets, with busses and large trucks traveling. The sites... More

From Vikings to Guinness, from 1916 to the Obama visit, this tour certainly covers a lot of ground. The history is brought to life with hilarious contemporary rhymes and folk sayings. The buildings and streets no longer cold stone monuments, and take on new signifcance. I also went on the 1916 walking tour and a literary pub crawl during my... More

Tommy Graham caught and retained our attention for over two hours while touring the streets of Dublin. Not only was he highly informative, he occasionally inserted humorous stories to keep us all fascinated. For a brief, but thorough history of Ireland, this is the tour to pick.

This walking tour is superb. Gavin spoke loudly and clearly enough for everyone to understand. His breadth of knowledge was impressive and even though we went overtime because of all of our questions, he did not stint on the last stop. This was time very well spent!

I was a student here, back in the day (pre-history) and unsure how it would feel to take a guided walk around Dublin on this return visit. In fact, it was the highlight of our trip: the guy who took our group really knew his stuff (in spite of being a UCD graduate!). He was funny, articulate and full of... More

The historical walking tour was recommended by a friend - what great advice. Starting from Trinity College, and led by a PhD student of Irish history, Donal, we spent 2 hours with a bunch of tourists walking around the great sites of Dublin with a most informative and very entertaining talk about Dublin (and Ireland's) fascinating history. We would highly... More

Can only echo the other reviews. Grace was an excellent guide and provided a personal and knowledgeable overview of the history of Ireland while walking through a relatively small area, rich with historical significance.
