On a brief trip to Dublin we thought the best way to get good quick overview of the city was to do a walking tour and we was not disappointed. The tour guide was a doctor of history very knowledgeable and passionate about everything to do with Ireland. The tour lasted just over 2hrs and see alot of the major... More

If you ever visit Dublin this is a must do thing. Our guide was Tommy Graham of Griffith College, Dublin. The tour was just over 2 hours and Tommy was both informative and full of humour which brought the history to life. Don't miss it you'll have a great 2 hours.

Dublin Historical Walking Tour departs Central Bank on Dame Street daily at 11:00 am. Oisin (Ush_een) Woods is young, engaging, entertaining and passionate about history (a former history/languages student of Trinity College). He opens with a brief history of Dublin that is youtube worthy. Currently (October 2014) his walking tours depart 11:00 am daily from the Central Bank on Dame... More

Fantastic way to see the highlights of Dublin and grab a snapshot of the area's history. Very informative and entertaining - Gavin ended up educating us for around 3hrs, we all sat in silence over our Guiness afterwards with severe brain overload! Suitable for anyone and everyone.

Fantastically illuminating historical tour of Dublin with historian Tommy Graham, editor of 'History of Ireland' magazine. Good value, very informative. Not a lot of walking, more standing and listening, but visited some interesting places.

Dublin was our last stop of our 2-week Ireland tour. The youth, energy, and bustle of the city was a wonderful contrast to our weeks of hiking and sight-seeing along Ireland's rural, rugged south and west coasts. Taking the 2-hour Historical Walking Tour of Dublin was the BEST thing we did in the city. Our guide, Donal Fallon, was incredibly... More

Donal is a well spoken, charming, and knowledgeable tour guide. He projects well and his recitations on history and culture are a product of his scholarship, not a memorized set of tour guide speeches. Where a typical tour guide might say "this is the site...." Donal would go on to contextualize the historic event and highlight the consequences (or lack... More

I was eagerly anticipating this tour having read all of the glowing reviews but my experience just didn't match the ones I read here. Our tour guide was knowledgable but almost indifferent at times, so much so that he didn't notice that several people dropped out after the break. It's hard to keep a group together but it can be... I was blown away by Conor, his level of detail and the amount of information he imparted upon us. I was concerned about the size of the group at first, but everyone was able to hear and ask questions. I only wish that the tour were longer and went to more locations, as I was fascinated by what I was... More

Highly, highly, highly recommended! The walk is absolutely fascinating and wholly engaging. Our guide was passionate, knowledgeable and happy to answer all our questions. A great introduction to Dublin's fascinating, bittersweet history.
