I went on the tour today and my guide's name was Gavin. Not only did he tell hilarious jokes, but I learned a ton about Irish history. The tour was totally worth the money and I'm very glad I did it. more

I really enjoyed this tour, and thank you very much to Peter for making it so informative and easy to understand. It was a fantastic way to see parts of Dublin that I had heard so much about - this brought the history alive. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see and learn more about the... more

This was definitely the most worthwhile thing I did in Dublin. They take you to all the historic sites and all I really had left to do after the tour was the Guinness Factory. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and had wonderful stories to tell. He was witty, engaging and incredibly smart. He provided a great commentary on the political... more

I saw a leaflet for this attraction in Dublin proclaiming it as being 'hard-hitting... with a Velvet Brogue & Barbed Wit'. From this, I thought it would be pushing an anti-British agenda, but it was refreshing to see that it was actually a very balanced & witty portrayal of Dublin's history, ending in the grounds of Christ Church (with its... more

Historical Insights Ireland Ltd. We very much enjoyed Gavin's company, his knowledge and his insights. He is pleasant, enthusiastic and informative. We had other good tours in Dublin, but this was the high point for us. If the other guides for this tour are comparable, then this is an opportunity that should not be missed. Jeanne and Will Clarke, Manhattan... more

This walking tour was just what we needed. After visiting Belfast and Derry/Londonderry and seeing the murals and hearing snippets of history, the walking tour in Dublin brought everything together clearly. Our guide was so knowledgeable and great at telling the story of Dublin, Ireland, and Northern Ireland. The tour didn't actually make you walk too far, and we paused... more

When you go to Dublin head for the main gates to Trinity College and twice a day there will be a guide asking if you'd like to join the Historical Walking Tour of Dublin. I recommend that you say "Yes". My wife and I booked ours on line before our trip but it is easy to join in at the... more

This comfortably paced walking tour of major sites of Dublin is arranged to tell the story of the Irish republic along with visits to major sites. In addition to the pre-arranged route and narrative, our guide provided thoughtful answers to everyone's questions. Highly recommended on your first day in Dublin. more
