Played the course recently. The course is tough, the rough is unforgiving and the greens are the worst I have ever come across. Poor value .

I would like to apologise to you for the fact that our greens were not up to our normal standard during your recent visit. As part of our Links Management Program we treated our greens to boost the natural fescue grass . This no doubt adversely effected the playability of the greens. This was further exacerbated by the recent dry... More

If you like links style golf courses then this is the course you have to play. The course is quite challenging with tight fairways, plenty of sand and very difficult undulating greens. Scenery is spectacular with this course built on Bull Island. Then there is also the history with this being the second oldest course in Ireland built on the... More

If you are coming to Dublin on a golf trip and want to hit a course straight away, I'd highly recommend Royal Dublin Golf Club. While not a "true" links course, it is surrounded by water, has wide fairways and a rich history. In other words, you'll feel good about your golf game before heading to the likes of the... More

We have been visiting Ireland for several years and we finally played Royal Dublin this year in September 2013. Loved the course. We were able to get an 8 am tee time for 65Euro and it was a lovely start to the day. It had been raining but the minute we drove onto Bull Island (where the golf course is... More

Not as tough a track as its better know cousin Portmarnock, but this Harry S. Colt design will give you a workout; especially if the wind blows. This is a flat and easy walking course, but the greens are tricky and the bunkering is exceptional. This is a well kept traditional links course with nine holes out and then nine... More

It's been a while since I played here, but Royal Dublin should be on everyone's list to play in the Dublin area. Course is very challenging. It's a very convenient location to the city and it has a nice clubhouse for food before or after your round.

Played on 27 September. Other than the greens being aerated, course was in great shape. A gentle warmup to Irish links.

This course founded in1885, if my memory is correct, is very flat quite short and a little uninteresting and on first glance seems to provide little challenge but don't be fooled. Accuracy off the tee not length is of a premium and fairways must be hit. The greens are of excellent quality and are very challenging. In fact they are... More

This is one of the best links golf courses within a stones throw of Dublin city centre. Bar,dining and pro shop facilities are first class. If you want to treat yourself, dont wait any longer.
