This course on the eastern side of Ireland sits on an island and is a delight to play. Additionally, you can rent a buggy to ride in for a little less than taking a caddie, although they are available. After walking several days the buggy was a Godsend to an old man. The golf shop is nice though small, and... More

Royal Dublin GC qualifies as one of the top courses to be played around Dublin - a tough challenge, fast greens, tough bunkers ... one of the classic links courses to be played around the area. Staff is very nice, the clubhouse and the restaurant overseeing the finishing hole, a sharp dogleg with out of bounds ... amazing !

Royal Dublin hosted the Irish Open on a number of occasions and for good reason , it is a tough challenge and a super links course. Located on the Bull island only a couple of miles form Dublin CIty Centre , the course has a long history. A typical 9 out and 9 in links it plays differently every day... More

This was my 4th golf trip to Ireland and we chose to play this course when we couldn't get on Portmarnock. It is a little hard to get to, with a one lane wooden bridge out to it, but it has a fascinating history. We had an afternoon tee time and wanted a bite to eat, so we went to... More

I had never heard of the RDGC when my wife booked a round there for my Christmas present. After a glorious 36 holes, I can assure you that I am so glad she did! This is a classic links course: 9 out, 9 back. On most holes there are generous (for Ireland) landing areas and places around greens where misses... More

This is the perfect course to play if you want to play golf just off a transAtlantic flight. It is set up as a traditional links course, but doesn't have quite the elevations changes that some of the links courses in the area (Portmarnock, etc... ) have. Extremely friendly staff and membership. A stunning location.

Starting a two week trek through Ireland and Scotland with 12 rounds of golf scheduled, my wife suggested that we beat our jet lag with a round of golf at Royal Dublin. The staff and golf course could not have been more warm and welcoming. We were greeted with mild temperatures and no wind. The staff couldn't have been friendlier... More

This is a great golf course in a unique setting.Rewards for good hitting and trouble in all the right places.Very well maintained.I would recomment this course. It has history and the members and staff are very helpful. Its set on bull island and you have to drive over a bridge to get out to it.

Played an open day here in October and really enjoyed it. The course was in great condition for the time of year. Came 4th overall and was really pleased as it was my first visit to Royal Dublin and it is a difficult course, particularly the back 9 which was into the wind. You need your "A" game here.

Royal Dublin is one of Ireland's traditional links courses and has the added benefit of being located approximately 4 miles north from the centre of Dublin. It is a good challenge of a golfer's game and is well maintained throughout the year. It is also quite scenic with an excellent view of the "horseshoe" of Dublin Bay. The clubhouse and... More
