Owner description: Peadar Kearney’s on Dame street is a traditional pub with strong historic roots. The pub is named after a musician who composed Abhrán na BhFiann (The Irish national anthem). We continue this tradition with nightly traditional, toe tapping music. One of the regular musicians, Brian Brody, is a must see for any tourist visiting the city. He’s a one man atmosphere machine. There’s a basement bar downstairs when upstairs overflows, which also caters to most sporting events. If you’re looking for somewhere with temple bar music and atmosphere without the prices, take a look at Peadar’s.

Have been to this bar a lot of times over the past two years. I found it to be a very friendly and hospitable place to visit. I liked the prices and enjoyed taking tourists in to see a "genuine" Irish pub. I visited today 15/12/14 and left very disappointed. The place seems to be attracting clientele only interested in... Peadar's was a supremely warm and welcoming Irish pub. Everyone was so chatty, the bartender, John, even invited me behind the bar to pull my own Guinness. Several TVs showing sports, good vibe all around.

Went to Peader's after being invited by a local who plays live music once a week...atmosphere is amazing and everyone is warm and friendly. If you're planning on making a stop in dublin please put Peaders on your must do list...will be going back to dublin and have Craic with James and everyone else!

We had read great reviews on here about Peader Kearney's and decided to go on our first night, we weren't disappointed. It was halloween, everyone was dressed up, the atmosphere was great and the guy singing was fab. We enjoyed it so much we went back again on our second night and enjoyed another great evening of drinking and dancing.... More

My friend and I are from the United States and had never been to Dublin. We stumbled into Peadar Kearney's by chance and absolutely fell in love with it. We ended up coming back each night the rest of our trip. The young female bartender with brown hair (cannot remember her name as this was a few months back) was... More

Great Gem of a bar , in Dame street Dublin , after 21.30 ,live music , we saw the highly talented, highly energetic musician , Brian Brody , who brings this traditional city bar to life , you won't be able to stop your feet tapping and your hands clapping ,and that's saying something from an Englishman 😀, highly recommend... Smack bang in the middle of Dame Street close to Dublin Castle and Temple Bar this place caters mainly for you're no nonsense regular drinker. My Guinness at €4:20 (or £3.35 ) was not only excellent but great value for a City centre bar. The bar opens right onto the street where there are two barrels styled as tables and... More

I love this place!! We found it on our first full day in Dublin and fell in love. It is a small pub with the best prices in town. The local people are beyond friendly and kind and the live music in the evenings is amazing! If you stay in the city centre of Dublin take a walk down Dame... More

Went in with a friend Thursday and encountered one of the rudest barman ever. No please or thank you and every customer seem to annoy him. You can tell he doesn't like his job very much. Totally put me off going back ever.

Had three or four pints of Guiness here in the afternoon after going to the factory, and was impressed with the down-to-earth, easy-talking bartender, the friendliness of other visitors, and the interesting bar setup. Felt quite homely and the toilets were clean enough, and I intend to go back and add to the banknote collection on display (though not with... More
