A lovely little museum

Lots to read and lots to learn. Thoroughly enjoyed spend about half an hour in this museum and free to the public.

This is a gem. Tucked away behind Dublin Castle and on the way to the Chester Beatty it is often overlooked. But what a find. Take a look back to the days of stills and illegal whiskey, stamps from the old stamping building and lots of other interesting facts about the Revenue Commissioners Office. Engage with the curator and you... More

We stumbled across this museum on our way to the Beatty Library. It was free and interesting. Who would counterfeit Head and Shoulder's!

I didn't know what to expect from this museum, I'd walked past it so many times without even really noticing it was there. However, it turned out to be a very interesting little museum, made more interesting by the official on duty who came out from behind his desk to give us an unofficial tour. It's generally a self-guided tour,... More

I walked into this The Revenue Museum by accident, and was pleasantly surprised! Situated in the grounds of Dublin Castle, I went into this museum thinking that I was going into the crypt of the church above, I was actually in the crypt but not one with ancient church relics but the Irish Revenue Museum. The museum is dedicated to... More
