Our visit to the Old Jameson Distillery was the biggest disappointment in our 4-day visit to Dublin. The (extremely) high entrance fee of 13,5 euro does not give you any value for money. The Lonely Planet City Guide of Dublin (April 2008) talks abount a 9,5 euro entrance fee. (so that's an inflation of more than 40 percent!) The distillery... more

In my view better than the Guinness Storehouse attraction. It's housed in a small part of what's left of the old distillery (nothing produced here any more) and it is unashamedly a mock up on a small scale of the distillery process. You do get a proper guided tour and the film they show is pretty interesting. Ticket price includes... more

I went with my friend who loves Whiskey. I went in to the Distillery thinking that I didn't like whiskey, and that I was just going to keep my friend company. I actually was very impressed! I had no idea how it was made and learned all the essentials. I also learned why Jameson is better than the other leading... more

It was our last day in Ireland and our last stop for the hop on/off buses so we decided to go to Jameson instead of Guiness, and we were so pleased with our choice. Having seen the crowds at the Storehouse, Jameson was much more comfortable and less crowded. We enjoyed the tour knowing ahead of time it was no... more

This was a great place, before going I've read the reviews, I was hesitate of doing this tour but now I'm glad I did it, about a 45 minute tour about JAMESON and got to be one of the taste testers which I got a certificate for at the end, so this was a great tour for me, so raise... more

We had orginally booked into Jamesons for the Shindig evening to celebrate a special birthday. However the evening was cancelled less than a fortnight before as another group had pulled out. The staff though were very apologetic and offered us a free tour and whiskey tasting session and presented us with a birthday gift. The fact that this is not... more

On weekends at 7:00 PM Jamesons offers their Irish "Shindig" which combines the tour with entertainment. We enjoyed our Saturday evening tour, followed by dinner and a show. The musicians were wonderful and the Irish dancing was top notch. We especially loved the gift shop where you can purchase 12 year old Jamesons with a personalized label. What a great... more

I went with a friend and we very much enjoyed the guided tour and learned quite a bit. Definitely volunteer at the beginning - you will be part of the "comparison tasting" (which means deciding your preference between Scotch, American bourbon, and Jameson's - no "knowledge" involved) which is a lot of fun. Also, the gift shop is actually quite... more

This tour could have more potential if it wasn't as long as it was. It starts with a 10 minute video that seemed pointless and then a 45 minute guided tour through a small reproduction of what the distillery once was. The most entertaining part was the end when (yet another) video reviewed different mixers for whiskey and then finally,... more
