Even though this is my home city, I still do the tourist thing regularly, was always into that. The visitor to Dublin will be taken in by it's Georgian beauty, charming citizens, fairly good public transport, and loads to do, piles of really good pubs and some nice restaurants too. Come and visit us, we'd love to see you!!

At first I was delighted to work with Michaela, very kind, knowledgeable and patient. After I booked my tour I could never get a hold of her again, spoke to other agents but she was never available. Then 10 days before my trip I was calling Authentic Ireland, in the US from the minute they opened until they closed for... More

Dublin (September 17th to September 23rd, September 27th to September 30th) is indeed a great city to visit. It is steeped in history and has many attractions to offer such as Christ Church Cathedral, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral just around the corner, museums, St. Stephen’s Green, Book of Kells and of course, Kilmainham Gaol. Other attractions are Grafton Street (shopping) and... More

My husband and I spent a wonderful week in Dublin. The people are exceedingly friendly and helpful. Every time we stopped to look at our map someone would stop to help us find where we were going. There is so much to see and do in the city itself and a multitude of day trips offered that take you to... More

Certainly Dublin, even small, is a nice city with (few) nice attractions. But many things are made to keep away tourists. For example having a car in Dublin is a nightmare ! Probably the City “decision maker” don’t realize that a car is the best way to visit the rest of Ireland and can happen to keep the car also... More

Over the last 6 months or so, I have started travelling to places less traveled and I have started enjoying them. The real desire to visit Republic of Ireland was ignited when I read an article from National Geographic Traveler. The article came in a special edition and was named "50 places of a Lifetime". I was based out of... More

"Another shout out to the bus drivers". The first night of our trip, we stayed out at the Aspect Hotel at the intersection of N7 and M50 in order for the next day to drive across Ireland to the west coast. We took the 79A bus for 2.40 Euros one way. The Dublin bus system is great. We went to... More

Our B&B was between the Dublin airport and central Dublin. We relied on the city buses to get us into town and found the drivers most helpful. The buses are well used and frequently crowded, but we enjoyed these trips as a taste of Dublin life. A day pass can be purchased and will provide savings if you take more... More

The hop on/hop off green buses were convenient and great value for money. The drivers were very knowledgeable and made the tours very interesting. We were lucky enough to get the same driver twice. He was fantastic with an amazing sense of humour, constantly coming out with jokes that made us not want to get off as he was so... More
