Lovely Guinness. Great atmosphere & great trad sessions nightly. Visit here every time I in the city.

Finding O'Donoghue's on Sunday evening was like finding an oasis in a desert. A warm welcome awaits as soon as you enter the door. The bar staff were friendly and helpful and didn't treat us as if we were unwelcome foreigners as some places had!The night we went, there were two very talented young lads singing and playing their guitars.... This was our best bar experience. Locals and tourists alike. Very friendly and an awesome, spur of the moment jam session by local musicians. I would definitely put this one on the list to visit.

Heart of the tradition! Great craic! This public house is filled with atmosphere and good vibes. Great music played with enthusiasm by a lovely bunch of musicians.

An evening of nice music and great atmosphere. We enjoyed our last evening in dublin hanging out in this bar just having a marvelous time. Pricing is surprisingly ok for dublin.

It's about as authentic a Dublin pub as you are going to find. And we didn't manage, to our great regret, to catch a music night. We were there twice just soaking up the atmosphere, chatting to the regulars and sipping Guinness. The place is central, easy to find and exploding with character. You can easily spend an hour looking... More

This pub only survives on its former glory. It's very crowded, and if you think you've come here to enjoy classical folk music - think again. There's so little room inside the bar, that only very few of the guests have a chance to see/hear the musicians. Anyway if you want to be part of a lively crowd - this... More

Good location, good food, drink and atmosphere. Menu is a little limited, but what we ordered tasted good and was turned over fairly quickly. We weren't terribly impressed with our server-she didn't have much of a personality and wasn't terribly polite. She is the reason why I didn't give the place 5 stars.

great pub, great location, great clientele and great service - excellent, friendly staff. But the downstairs ladies toilet.......retaining the character of a pub doesn't mean you have to avoid maintaining the toilet! There are better toilets upstairs but that's not an acceptable excuse.

Called into this bar after walking around the temple bar area, the place was absolutely rammed with locals and tourists, had the obligatory drink of Guinness fabulous atmosphere and the Guinness was cold and creamy what more could you ask. Ladies toilets are a little bit basic but small price to pay for a great evening, pub itself a bit... More
