Authentic iris pub, good pint and great photos/pics of the Dubliners! Shame we couldn't have visited 20 years ago to see them play in person. Lovely place

during the world cup we ended in the bar, surprised there was room as elsewhere in the street all was packed with people. We watched the Irish team win, in a very nice and cosy setting with drunken Irish, a band playing during the game and nice view on several screens. The toilets are a little dirty (like most in... If you want to the reel tunes that Dublin has to offer in an informal session then there is no where with a better atmosphere than O'Donoghues pub in Merrion Row. Inside on a cold Thursday night or fresh outside on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

This bar is really one you have to visit - steeped in history, music and charachter, but still not a tourist trap for all that. Guinness always excellent, bar staff friendly and efficient, and good mix of patrons - you usually end up chatting to an interesting selection of randomers if you're there long enough. The front bar is close... More

My first pint in Ireland. Friendly atmosphere. Met several locals. Lots of Sports that weekend and everybody had an opinion. Great place to get an introduction to a real Irish Pub.

Popped in here for a pint on Sunday. Busy, full of tourists. There was a pick up band playing but after a while all the tunes seemed the same so we left.

We came in here to get out of the rain and ended up staying about three hours, up until the bell rang. We were invited to join in on the trad session, chatted with the other tourists and locals, and learned a little bit about the history of Ireland - all while enjoying an inexpensive pint. Worth the visit if... More

We were recommended to have a pint here from the Dublin tripadvisor community, glad we did. The pint of Black Stuff was the best that I have tasted anywhere. Keep up the good pints

Very poor pint of Guinness. Pint glasses obviously being washed with greasy cutlery. Very disappointing given its reputation. Toners 2mins down the road had a vastly superior pint.
