My hubby and I stayed in Dublin on two nights and on our second evening, we stumbled into the Temple Bar. When we first arrived at about 6.30pm-ish, there was music playing but no seats near the stage. It was busy but people come and go here all the time so we eventually got a seat at one of the... More

Lovely atmosphere, food available, waiter service, though wine was a bit pricey, and live music! Great!

Called in here during a brief visit to Dublin, fabulous atmosphere and very friendly staff. Can't comment on the price because 'er indoors had an Irish coffee so I kind of expected a visit to the cleaners...remember it's euros not pounds though. Would love to return for an evening with live music, we could imagine that would be outstanding.

I visited here with a group of friends on the weekend (April 2014) and the place was absolutely rammed full (as you'd expect on a saturday night). The prices of drinks are extortionate! I €13.20 for two pints of lager. Friends paid about €14+ for 2 ciders. Absolutely unbelievable how they can charge that amount for two drinks. Felt like... More

Great place for live music, very popular. In a nice pedestrian street. Very busy. This is a place you must try in dublin. 😜

The bar was jam-packed with mainly tourist and the live band were fantastic. Particularly for me as they played lots of mid-90s classics :) The pints are very expensive, but they were still flowing freely. A night out here will have you clapping, stomping and singing along. The headache the next day was worth it!

I have been in this top pub just for my last day in Dublin and had a great moment: live music, eating oyster with Guinness(never tried) and a wealthy seafood sandwiches with fries. Very nice place I really enjoyed it and regret to pass there just one evening. The staff are nice and caring and the food is fresh and... More

We popped in at lunchtime the staff were very friendly, the live music was good and at that time of day there was a chilled, happy atmosphere. Guinness was a little on the expensive side compared to what we had become useful but I guess that's partly location and the virtual all day live music.

Dropped into Dublin for a catch up with friends. Used this pub as a base. Great layout with great music. When in Rome etc, stayed on the black stuff. Just don't understand why a pint of Guinness was almost 2 Euros more expensive than anywhere else? Maybe it's the captive market. We decided to go elsewhere in order to stretch... More
