Decided to do the group/tourist thing rather than venture out by ourselves. Well worth it. A ton of interesting information. Harry was a treasure trove of history, culture and comedy. Quite a character. Very organized, clean and well-timed trip. The sites, Tara Hill and New Grange were excellent choices and Harry made them come alive.

Great excursion. Comfortable bus and very knowledgable driver Harry. The hill of Tara and also Newgrange are very worthwhile visiting

Hi Carolien, We are glad that you have enjoyed the tour to Newgrange! Would you believe that the tomb is older than Egyptian pyramids? "Harry the hat" is excellent entertainer and knows the sights like nobody else. We will make sure that we will pass your comments onto him! Kind regards, Lenka More

Used the Gray Line HOHO in Dublin. Guides were very informative, easy to understand & very helpful. Did both the Red Tour and Blue tour. Although there was some overlap. Both were very good. Rates were appropriate. Spent approximately an hour+ on each route. Obviously, Guinness was a big stop. I found the stop at Glasnevin Cemetery to be interesting.... More

Visiting Dublin for 7 days, and wanting to see more of Ireland, We signed up for a day tour out of Dublin to Newgrange and Hill of Tara. We purchased the 48 hour ticket. Having had great experiences with Gray line in other countries, we trusted this tour to deliver. The buses were sold to us as coming every 10 to 15 mm. We had to wait between 25 and 30 mm each time. We were dropped on Friday at the Guinness Storehouse. We left around 18.15, waited... More

Dear Tgabawm, We are sorry you encountered delays on the Friday. We have a 10 minutes service all summer but with the light rail works in the city centre we do see some delays in service at times. The city has 2 other city tour companies and both have green livery. Perhaps this gives the a misrepresented view of the... More

Our driver Joe was very entertaining and helped engage the bus with a great sense of humor. Would pay for this and do it again! Beautiful country, great history, amazing food! Look for this tour with Grayline. We took a trip I booked through Wild Rover Tours the next day that did not compare. With two drivers, not nearly as... More

Harry was a great tour guide for this tour to Newgrange and the Hill of Tara. The perfect amount of knowledge and comedy to add to a tour!

Harry drove our comfortable Grayline bus to Hill of Tara and New Grange. He was friendly, knowledgable, knew plenty of tidbits of interest about the route and about the Hill of Tara. He gave us plenty of time to explore and gave us clear instructions on when and where to find the bus (in case the rain caused us to... More

We had travelled with Gray Line Hop-On Hop-Off tour buses throughout our whole visit but the service in Dublin was something else. Every tour guide was absolutely amazing, friendly, funny, and interactive. My friend and I did a half day tour of Malahide Castle and the small coastal town of Howth (these two locations were highly recommended by all taxi... More

Dear Jim, We are delighted to hear about your positive experience on the Gray Line Newgrange Tour. You are correct, we are 1 of the 2 providers that guarantee entry to the Newgrange tomb, which is a great benefit for the customers. We strive to make the day as much fun as possible and Harry is excellent example of that.... More

I took the tour of New Grange and Tara on Gray Line out of Dublin on June 12th, along with my wife and my 12 year old son. We could not have been more pleased with our experience. Having taught about Neolithic Archaeoastronomy for many years, it was wonderful to actually enter the burial chamber of New Grange and see... More
