I travelled in my car from Holyhead to Dublin and then from Rosslare to Pembroke in April 2014. During both trips, I hired a cabin. The process of getting onto the ferry was straightforward and without any problems. The cabins were clean and well presented and I was able to get some sleep on both occasions. I would criticise the... More

Enjoyable journey, good deals available if you keep your eye out for the off peak times of year. The eastern european staff are difficult to communicate with and there appears to be next to no Irish staff. This is disappointing about Irish ferries.

I am currently sitting in the club class lounge onboard . I traveled from Euston to Holyhead on Virgin Trains (who are great) . I am currently on my way to Dublin port and have often traveled this way but never traveled club class before. I am pleasantly surprised, you get nibbles (on teeny tiny plates!) and free wine, soft... More

When a New Yorker says "ferry ride," this is not what we mean! Traveled on the Ulysses from Holyhead Wales to Dublin - it's practically a cruise ship. A bit of a choppy sea, so there was a bit of motion, but not enough to keep me seated. A bit of a shop to walk through, options to watch movies,... More

I took the Irish Ferries and Virgin train service from Birmingham, England to Dublin, Ireland for 34 pounds total. It was a very pleasant trip and the Ulysses is so beautiful. It's like a cruise ship. The WiFi was excellent and the lounge was very comfortable. The duty free shop has excellent prices.

Took the Jonathan Swift from Dublin to Holyhead, 175euros one way for car and driver (OUCH!) Loading started at ~8:10 we sailed at 8:48 - slightly early. Crossing time was announced as 1hr 50, but took nearer to 2 hrs - it was slightly choppy!. The JS is a catamaran, appoximately 1/3 the length of the Stena adventurer and substantially... More

There's tax free shopping available to wile away the time, but firstly you are mesmerised as you watch the coast disappear. It's quite exciting the first time you experience the ferry trip. Wi-Fi is available and there is food. Although the service on the ferry in the coffee store was barely able to be called service, I can say that... More

Went for a short break to France - Rosslare to Cherbourg on the Oscar Wilde. What was great - had a lovely evening meal in the Berneval Restaurant with very keenly priced wine, good quality food and really great service. We also ate breakfasts there which were good too and well worth the money. We chose a three star cabin... More

We travelled from Holyhead to Dublin for a long weekend with friends. We travelled as foot passengers leaving the car at the long term car park at the port (£7 per day). The Swift sailing we originally booked was cancelled due to weather so we were forced to take the slow boat. No problems there as the crossing was comfortable.... More

We traveled from Dublin to Holyhead on the Ulysses ship. The trip was amazing. There is a lot of entertainment on board. We have upgraded to Club level. The club lounge is very comfortable. The snacks choice is very reasonable. Employees very friendly and creating a sense of well-being! Will choose Irish ferries next time!!!
