Train late so had to spend 9 hours in holyhead . Irish ferries left without any of the sailrail foot passengers who had booked. The desk didn't care I had a through train to cork which I had missed. Even a simple questions as to whether a cabin was available on the later ferry I was to take was too... More

Took this last week from Pembroke, Wales to Rosslare, Ireland. It was a nice boat, had good size Duty free gift shop, full restaurant, and a pub. For the kids they had a mini play area with arcade and a pool full of balls. Overall a nice relaxing way to get around. Easy to board, fast to load, and fast... More

Decided to take a daytrip to holyhead to meet family who were away on a break in Wales. Tooke the Jonathon Swift which is much faster at just over 1.5hrs each way. Very clean. The onlt thing I would say is that onboard the restaurant and bar are quite pricey. If you like a glass of wine I would reccommend... More

Before this last ferry crossing, the one before was on a positively ancient floating hotel in the bottom end of the ship in what felt like a dungeon, sharing a bathroom that was swimming in other people's pee with those other people. So we were thoroughly delighted to find a lovely clean, bright, ensuite cabin, even though it was only... More

We had booked a family holiday in order to travel by car to Italy, where my wife and I have a holiday home. We left for Cherbourg, my wife and I and 2 children on Friday 22 March and took the ferry back to Ireland on Saturday 6 April. My original intention was to either fly to Italy and hire... More

We took the Jonathan Swift as foot passengers from Holyhead to Dublin. Nothing fancy but we had no problems, everything was on time and the staff were fine. It's a nice, relaxed alternative to flying if you are prepared to drive to Holyhead.

Since the inception of the Oscar Wilde service from Rosslare to France, my wife and I have traveled on this ship approx 10 journeys, the most recent just last week. Some of these trips have been to go on holiday for two or more weeks and other, like our last, are just quick trips to buy wine at a reasonable... More

Our group (a youth band) comprising 21 children and 20 adults (parents and chaperones) traveled Rosslare / Cherbourg return on the "Oscar Wilde" 31st March / 4th April 2013. The accommodation on board was arranged by our tour company and was clean and comfortable. However, the "3 star 4 bed with window" cabins we had on the return trip were... More

We travelled out to visit relatives from Pembroke to Rosslaire. We booked a cabin and were very pleasantly surprised that despite the obvious age of the terminal and the ferry itself, it was spotlessly clean. The cabin had a bathroom, nice clean towels and bedding, a kettle, tea, coffee, fruit and biscuits as well as a Telly, although our phones... More

We traveled on the Oscar Wilde in June 2012. We found that the ferry was a great experience as opposed to flying with three kids. On our outward journey the sea was very calm and we got a great nights sleep onboard. There is a range of things to do on the journey. we went to the cinema and it... More
