About 15 people hop into a bus and visit 3 pubs in the mountains - ones that a tourist to Dublin might not ordinarily have visited because they spent all their time and money in Temple Bar. This is a great way to see some of the 'rural' aspects of Dublin, sample some great Irish beers/ciders and of course mingle... More

The Rural Pub Tour with Shane, was one of, if not the best, activity/tour we participated in while on a 9-day tour of Ireland. We were introduced to 6 off the beaten path pubs, hung out with locals, and met some cool people. During a high tourist season, Shane took us to places that were not crowded with tourists. Shane... A very well planned and super fun evening with new friends! Shane is a fantastic host that makes it a point to get to know your name and where you are from. Our trip had 12 folks, some from the US, Canada, and Norway. Shane had us all singing and laughing all night. i would highly recommend this to trip... More

The rural pub tour is a must. It was nice to get out of the busy city and visit with the locals. The beautiful countryside was everything I dreamed of seeing. We even got to sing with the locals!!! 5 hours sounded like quite a while, but it flew past in this company. A thoroughly daft and wonderful night out experiencing how friendly the locals are, and meeting people from all over the world within the group. Oh, and the beer's pretty good, too! (Though don't order a Black & Tan...) I'm still humming 'Wild Rover'. Go Shane! Best... More

As you are whisked up into the mountains to enjoy the glories of local pubs, you'll be regaled with tales, songs, jokes and impersonations ("Ever notice how people from Cork all sing instead of speak?") Shane is a person whom you'll remember always as having driven you around on one of the best nights of your life.

Honestly, this is probably the best experience we had while visiting Dublin. You might reading all the positive reviews and think "for sure it can't be that great." Oh but it is! Here's what you'll enjoy: 1) A great host who knows plenty about Dublin and will entertain and keep you having fun all night 2) Amazing local pubs! These... More

This was the highlight of my Dublin trip. Shane was an amazing guide and host for the evening. It was so much fun to get out of Dublin and get to see some of the beautiful country side and local pubs. Should I be lucky enough to get back to Dublin again this will be on my agenda for sure.

We had a short 2 day trip to Dublin, and were looking for a way to spend a little time out of the city and see the Irish countryside. After spending lots of time looking at reviews of many different tours offered, we stumbled upon the reviews of this tour and they sold us on it. Well, let me tell... More
