When having a look at Donegal Harbour we noticed the Donegal Bay Waterbus was in port and would be departing within 45 minutes. Tickets in hand we went down the gangway which is wheelchair accessable as also is the Waterbus. It is a flat bottomed boat so very steady in the Bay's shallow waters. What a fabulous fun trip. There was... More

Lovely trip on the river, saw seals basking & good interesting commentary with lots of typical Irish jokes thrown in. However, the trip was somewhat spoilt by an elderly gent, a friend of the commentator I believe, who gave us a few songs..How much is that doggy in the window & such like childish songs performed rather manically, & he... This leisurely cruise on Donegal Bay is ideal for all ages. The Captain gives a great deal of information while providing lots of humor and music. Saw lots of seals basking on the shore. Snacks and drinks are available and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Great way to see a variety of landscapes in a short period of... More

Noreen in the ticket office is a lovely, helpful lady and you can get your information leaflet here before you travel, so you know the places you are passing. This is a wonderful trip! The Captain gives a running commentary and his jokes are really funny! We were lucky, in that there were about 55 of us, so we could... More

Maybe because of the poor sound quality on the top of the boat but it was very hard to even hear the history much less ever find what was being talked about. For the price I would have expected a much more in depth tour. The seals are the only thing I really enjoyed as so much being talked about... More

I've just come off the boat having taken the tour of Donegal Bay on the Donegal Bay Waterbus.Very happy with the boat trip-very comfortable and relaxing on the inside with a very friendly gentleman who was the guide, and who was explaining the history of the islands and old buildings etc...I spent most of the tour outside on the top deck... We took a cruise recently with some friends and it was very enjoyable. The tour is about and hour and a half long and sailing times depend on tide and demand. The guide shares some interesting facts on local landmarks and history on the outward journey. The return journey seemed to be designed very much for the German Coach parties... More
