Great friendly irish pub with an eclectic arrange of carachters both young and old. Good pint and friendly staff, always a singsong going on.

My wife and I visited Donegal Town in July 2015 and asked about traditional Irish music. We were told this was the place to go. Push through the crowded bar room--stopping of course to buy a pint--- into the larger (but still intimate) back room and you will be rewarded by friendly locals and some good Irish music. One of the... Friendly owners, staff, and patrons(from near and far)mesh together for incredible local music jam and a perfect pint. Everyone is happy to see you and happy to be there and make you feel as though you are one of the locals. My husband even got to sit in and play guitar on a few songs! Can't wait to get back.... visited this pub after being told about its traditional music and was very impressed. Such a lovely atmosphere and friendly workers. Will very much return for a musical evening in the near future.

The Reel in was by far our favorite pub of our 10 day trip through all of Ireland. The owners were front and center, serving and part of the action. We went to numerous pubs and this one had the most authentic traditional Irish music and we even got to see some Irish Dancing by some local young ladies. If... More

Last Friday night we were lucky enough to walk through the doors of The Reel Inn!! The warmth of the hospitality was wonderful. The music was such a treat; the intimate surroundings, the laughter, the impromptu singers, the Jamesons!! All added to a fabulous night.

Had the huge pleasure of spending 2 nights (5 days apart) at the Reel Inn. Owners John (accordion player) & Denise (beautiful singer) were terrific hosts. Had 7 or so musicians sitting around in a circle playing and singing lovely Irish ballads and other songs, but Denise' rendition of "Four Green Fields" was absolutely beautiful. Lovely atmosphere and friendly folks... More

We had a 3 night stay in Donegal and spent each night in here. Bar staff are really friendly and the Guiness is wonderful. Music every night...the highlight being the 5 piece band on Wednesday...superb entertainment if you like traditional Irish music. It's not the biggest of places and can get a bit crammed but that lends itself to the... More
