Well worth your time to find and visit if you are passing thru Mitchelstown. The lane can be hard to locate, I drove past it several times and had to ask 3 locals before finding it ! The 650 metre long path to Saint Fanahan's Well is entered from Mulberry Road. The walk is peaceful, easy and enjoyable with views of the Galtee mountains to the north. Beech trees line both sides of the surfaced pathway which is raised on a bank above the surrounding fields. The little woodland at the end of the path is approached... More
