My wife got tickets ages ago and I wasn't too excited about going. How wrong could I be, it was a great and the night flew by with great songs and so much energy. The sixties styling was a happy theme I hadn't been aware of either. Would tell anyone to go along and have a grand time.

I went to see hairspray at the opera house with some friends and it was so so good! I loved it. Fantastic production with a great cast. It would definitely make me consider going to see more shows there.

Every single person on the stage was wonderful. The dancing and singing never stopped - what energy. I hadn't seen the show or the movie before so I hadn't realised what the show content was about or that it was set in the early 1960s. I love the atmosphere in the Cork Opera House. I've been going to shows there... More

Excellent show. Had not seen it before, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Young singers were soooo good! Staff very helpful, though I did think it a bit pricey.

I had a breakfast in the café with my son, I had a cooked brekky and he had sausages and toast. The breakfast was my favourite of my visit to Cork. The meats were cooked just right, the scrambled eggs were nice and buttery, the mushrooms were plentiful and the tomato was tasty. Also the bread was good quality. The... More

Have seen Neill Finn and the Blind Boys of Alabama so far this year - fantastic venue for music - helped by being in the front row both times!

I thoroughly enjoyed the show I saw here - quality sound and lighting; comfortable, roomy seating; and friendly staff make the Cork Opera House an excellent venue! Also in a great location in the city center. The bar got too busy to order anything during intermission, but otherwise it was an enjoyable experience. The only other annoyance was how people... More

The Opera house is a great venue. Great layout, nice seats however row A on the balcony is recommended if you need a bit more legroom as the other rows are a little 'tight'. You can pre order your interval drinks before the show begins which is recommended as the bar can be very busy during the break. Overall its... More
