I really like city parks where you can stroll around and see people take a break from urban life. This park fits the bill. It is beautifully laid out and looked after. It was a perfect venue for a recent comedy/street artist festival.

This is such a stunning place. So many different things. Play area for children, coffee shop, museum, and most important lots and lots of stunning flowers. The trees along the river bank draw you even deeper into the park. Some trees have twisted in such unusual shape due to the winds in winter. A day trip with a picnic is... More

Nice park for Cork, on the water, easy parking on weekends, otherwise you need a parking disc. Good for a run or get the kids out, the playground is more for little ones and gets really full when the sun is out. The cafe is nice, has ice cream, coffee and cakes. The downside is the dog poo, nor sure... More

Generations of Corkonians have enjoyed the beauty and tranquillity of this lovely 18 acre park in the heart of the city. Named after a Lord Mayor, Edward Fitzgerald, it is on of the favourite civic amenities in the city and it has undergone a spectacular redevelopment in recent times. Much is on offer for free: spectacular views of Sundays Well,... More

Following a 20 minute walk from the city centre to this beautiful park, having attended the Patrick’s Day parade, I discovered on arrival: 1. There were no sandwiches available and a very limited selection of confectionery. This was at 2.45PM on a beautiful sunny bank holiday afternoon!!! 2. Worrying health and safety standards. 3. A blocked toilet. Internationally it is... More

Walked for an hour here that day enjoying the sun and peace, the gardens are spotless and it's great for kids too.

Free Museum with the history of Cork City and County, old films of the city 1900 - 1930, prominent citizens, sports, etc. Fitzgerald Park is a lovely place to stroll and relax and you would never realize that you were in a city walking through the gardens and along the banks of the River Lee.

Lovely little park with access to the "shaky bridge" and Cork Jail. There is also a cafe and nice outdoor sculptures - really worth visiting!
