The English Market is a gourmet delight with a varied range of fresh meat, fish, cheese and vegetables. Friendly helpful stall vendors will even advise on how to cook, if necessary. Celebrity cooks have featured the market and its produce on Irish television cookery programmes a number of times.

Location - in the heart of bustling Cork city center with locals and tourists alike wandering and buying regional food products and goods. Bakeries were fantastic Parking - readily available in adjacent multilevel lot although the spaces are sized for mini-coopers and challenging to fit Vendors - busy but friendly and helpful while scaling fish, explaining cheeses, or butchering meats... I am studying abroad in Cork, and I always do my grocery shopping at the Old English Market. There are great organic options, and a wide range of produce. It is a little more expensive than Tesco or Supervalu, but the food is definitely worth it.
