Even if you are not in the shopping mood go there to feel the unique atmosphere. Especially before Christmas the stands are looking great. Take pictures as much as you can, especially by Fish Market, the English Queen visited this place as well and all Irish sellers working there are proud of it.

Brilliant display of local meat and seafood. Went with my family recently and as someone who is professionally interested in food I really enjoyed seeing the local products displayed so appealingly. The guys behind the counters were great craic and enjoyed telling my kids stories about the products, particularly the fish. Highly recommend!

If you have been to any market like Pike Place in Seattle or the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul you will be disappointed. It's very small and there is very little there.

I spent a wonderful morning in the English Market. It is colourful, noisy, bustling and brilliant. There's a terrific selection of Irish fresh food I had lunch in the farm gate cafe upstairs and I enjoyed. Staff were wonderful , friendly and helpful.

If you are in Cork you need to go here! Not only are there lots of great foods to buy but also just average folks buying their meats, breads, and vegetables, among other things. Doesn't take long to walk around the whole place but well worth it. I was there mid-week and it wasn't overly busy but returned on Saturday... More

This is a lovely place full of small shops and butchers, upstairs is a cafe and a bar. We had breakfast and a walk around some of the shops and stalls, well worth a visit.

My so and I both had sandwiches and drinks from the market. They tasted great and the shops were neat to look at.

Meat Meat Meat. Loved the idea of showcasing different stuff but way too meat and stinky. Enjoyed few pastries but very difficult to swallow with so much meat hanging around. Defo a stop for meat lovers.
