A fantastic place to wonder around and see a great selection of fresh food, whether its fish, meat, poultry, vegetables, cakes, breads, chocolates, spices, the list just goes on - to paraphrase a TV show, YOU JUST GOT TO SHOP HERE

Our tour guide arranged for us to stop here during our tour. I loved it. Visually great for photos. We purchased some local food items to snack on. Super Yummy! Would have loved to spend a couple hours shopping here.....

Great place to walk around and do a bit of food shopping for an hour or so - but also a great place to have a tasty, very reasonably priced lunch with the kids - we enjoyed the spicy sausages and potatoes, and there were fruit smoothies and sweet treats - the kids loved it - very informal and no... A stop at the English Market was just what we needed to recharge our batteries. Walking through all of the stalls, mouths watering, chatting up the vendors was a great way to spend a couple hours. However vegetarians beware. Inside the door there is a sizeable vegetable stall and more inside but carnivores own this show. There... More

If you want to savour the really feeling of Cork and its traditional foods, then a visit to the Old English Market is a must. True that it can be a little crowded, but this is part of the pleasure for me when ever I get to visit and stock up on quality foods from butchers, bakers and bread makers,... More
