Popped in on a Sunday evening. A locals bar that is always very friendly. Located a few minutes from the City Hall in the docks area. The bar has a well stocked magazine rack in case you want something to read!!!!

I was here Saturday night 13th June with a group of girls after River Dance. It was recommended to us by my brother-in-law who had been here on a stag night and had a great time. From the moment we walked in (squashed our way in) we had such a good time. Everyone was dancing(on the seats) and singing and... More

Myself and 11 friends dressed in Hawaiian shirts called in on Saturday.....o.m.g.....what a reception...cheering, clapping it was just amazing. The regulars were so friendly and the banter was awesome. The music had us singing and dancing. To top it off a gentleman ( think he was called the chairman) got on the bar and mimed to goodbye Saigon....he had us... More

A large group of us went to the idle hour last night at 8pm to watch the Eurovision. On 4 ocassions the owner was re-winding the live show to suit himself and his friends at the bar. We asked him and the staff to stop doing this but he continued. Some of the group walked out half way through as... More

Firstly, before I reply to Tom H review, I'd like to thank all the other reviews on Tripadvisor. It's heart warming to read. Now on to the last review by Tom H. I must say I found the review a bit 'needy' and I think it crosses the boundaries of what Tripadvisor reviews are all about. For Instance, if I'm... More

This bar sitting right on the docks on the edge of the old 'jewtown' is an absolute gem. It still retains the authenticity of a local bar yet is welcoming to tourists or any other visitors. Look out the door and you see you are located right in the heart of the dock area and yet you are only a... More

Was in here recently and what a spot! Lots of 60s 70s music to suit the clientele. You better be able to sing because everyone joins in and the whole bar starts rocking to the beat and people even stand on the seats dancing! Bar staff are great. Atmosphere is 11/10! You certainly won't be Idle in there!!

I have friends who have frequented this bar for years on and off and have regaled me with stories of crazy nights. If you stay seated in this bar you would have to be tone deaf, they play some great tunes and a mix for everyone. It is the kind of place where you go "Oh No" but then once... More

Have walked past this pub so many times on my way to or from work and it always draws me in. Whether its quiet and the big screen has sport on or its a rocking Saturday night I always wanted to visit but hadn't until the other day. Went in after a tough day at work and the place was... More

We were getting wedding photos taken across the road at the docks and the barman came over to us and offered us a complimentary drink for the whole bridal party. Lovely gestures like these don't go unnoticed.
