I thought the castle was very neat to walk through, I was surprised at how much they let you see, every room in the castle is open to walk through. We went later in the afternoon so there were no crowds and no lines to kiss the Blarney Stone, which I thought was a fun thing. We walked the rest...

Travel Experts for years have poorly reviewed this attraction. There are many, many, far superior castles that you can visit in the Republic of Ireland, in far better condition, with many more things to see, with much smaller crowds, which carry so much more history, for less...

How could someone go to Cork and not go to Blarney Castle?
Reasonable fee, beautiful landscaping, and the Blarney Stone.
You can take your own photographs of your family and friends kissing the Blarney Stone.
Getting up to the Blarney Stone requires climbing narrow steps. Those who have trouble walking won't be able to make it up to the top...

Beautiful grounds and a wonderful time. I had not trouble climbing the steps despite being very out of shape. You get an amazing idea of what it was like to live like a king.

Great! Enjoyed the castle and trying to envision how people lived back then. The staircase up to the stone is very winding and narrow but well worth it. We wish we had more time to stay and explore the grounds. A MUST see if you're in the area.

The Castle was great, and of course you must make the climb up to the top to kiss the stone. My husband and I really enjoyed the tour of Blarney house - 30 minutes and very informative.

I lived in Cork for years and was home visiting in March and finally went to the Blarney Stone. The grounds of the castle are beautiful and there are numerous gardens that you can visit.
