We found Blarney Castle and the Blarney Stone to be slightly overrated. We suppose that this is a quintessential tourist must, but we found it well worth the climb up the narrow winding staircases. It is a special treat to go to a place that you've heard so much about all your lives. A lovely view of the country side and a workout at the same time (for us older folk). more

Had visited the castle in April end 09. Its quite accessible from Cork City Bus station. There are buses every hour to and from Blarney. The return tickets costs abt 6 Euro.
