This is a challenging course though not too difficult for amateurs like me. There is a hole; a raised dogleg left for the big hitters, and straight then left for the likes of me. Most fairways are forgiving.

This is beautiful course especially during summer months. Par 3's can be a bit of a challenge but great feeling if you manage to birdie one or two. Course is good for low as well as high handicappers. It is definitely worth a visit if in Ennis area.

Course was in good condition considering all the rain. Staff in the pro shop was very helpful and friendly. We met the Lady captain and other members while out playing - lovely people, they made us feel very welcome!!!!!

Parking is a bit of a challenge at times but that's because the place is very popular with local golfers. Very close to Shannon Airport, and very close to... More

Great course - fair but challenging. ProShop staff (Avril and Ann-Marie) were sensational and the friendliest people you could hope to meet. Members, both, on the course and in the clubhouse, were also friendly and happy to chat

Breakfast Food was very poor quality. Scrambled egg seemed to be made from powered egg. Pool was in poor condition with light fitting in pool broken. Overall hotel was in need of investment and a good clean-up. Staff were excellent. Hotel is not clean - there was a bad odour of dirt in the bar - probably from the badly... More

If you're looking for a sociable course for you and your mates to get around without too much drama or lost balls then Woodstock will fit the bill no problem. If however you're looking for a pure golf challenge then I'd say you'll be underwhelmed.
