My husband and me visited today 29th june. Firstly we went into tea room and had tea and a delicious homemade scone, the ladies serving in the tearoom were lovely and very welcoming. We then went on a 2-3 hour trip up tge union canal to the avon viaduct where we got off and were able to look at the... More

Thanks to the volunteers who carry on the required works to open and manage this facility this place adds a small extra to the person visiting Linlithgow. If you are lucky and have time one should do the canal tour leading all the way to Falkirk Wheel.

A family group of us hired the Leamington for a four hour self-drive. We were welcomed by one of the volunteers who then took us out to show us the basics before he jumped off and we headed on towards the Avon Aqueduct. We made it back in good time and carried on eastwards to The Park Bistro before returning... More

Great day spent out on the boat on the onion canal. Boat was perfect, no issues. The staff were so attentive and helpful before letting us loose on the canal. Travelled east along union canal, had a BBQ at mooring point near Broxburn. Thanks again to all the staff!!

We visited this facility while staying in Linlithgow. The small museum was very interesting and had several nice displays. We took the 2-hour boat ride on the Union Canal to the aqueduct. It was a really fun trip and we would recommend this as a fun and interesting experience if you are visiting the Linlithgow area.

What a nice welcome we got here late on a Saturday afternoon. We had a lovely trip up the canal on the boat all run by volunteers. Please give them your support.

We chartered the Leamington canal boat for a half day for my mother's birthday and enjoyed a lovely day out on the canal. Sure, the website and email communication isn't quite as slick as a professional organisation, but considering this is run by unpaid volunteers it's a great venture, and at £70 for a half day's hire was great value... Went with our 6 year old and he loved the boats. Small attraction run by volunteers but well presented. Nice tearoom and museum with hands on displays. 3 boats doing a variety of trips on the Union Canal. 20 mins to 4 hours. Staff were especially friendly and great towards children. Would recommend for a half day trip.
