Found this unmarked road just south of UIg. There is a small white road on the map with a sign to the town at the end. There is a signposting for that town, which is Balnaknock. If you get to Earlish heading south, you have gone too far. We drove the road and you know when you have arrived! A... More

My favorite of all the places we stopped on the Isle of Skye. Great place for hiking, climbing, and photo opportunities!

Fascinating hillock formations which seem to appear out of nowhere when driving along the track. Lots of paths in the grass to follow just don't get lost. Can get some really brilliant photographs and if you're quite you can sneak up on unsuspecting rabbits playing in the early evening

The Faerie Glen are in Isle of Skye. The nearest post code is UIG hotel IV51 9YE. Park your car in the parking area in front of the hotel. Look out for a bus stop[ & walk up the hill. It about 30 mins walk or you can drive up there. We walked it & it was a lovely walk.

This unmarked attraction is well worth the visit. We asked for directions at the The Sheiling and made our way into this beautiful, other worldly place. (But don't worry the sheep or the evidence of sheep will keep you firmly in touch with reality.) We parked the car and even from the side of the small road we were immediately... More

This was number one attraction for us at Isle of Skye. we spent an hour just sitting on top of a hill, which took only 5 minutes to climb! so you can have the joy of conquering a hill without getting tired...I dont know whether its the stories around the place or not, but the place actually feels magical! Will... More

Quite out of the way, and peculiar landscape to walk around. One very high piece to climb, that one not for little children though. The rest was very pretty, with a few travellers from around the world, but all enjoying the peace and quiet

The drive to the Fairy Glen is a bit long however worth it. The climb uphill is steep but not very difficult. Once you reach the top (that is the tricky part as it is narrow and need to climb rocks) you will find a grand scenery underneath.

The drive to the Faerie Glen is on a very narrow road, we started wondering if we were on someone's private road but we were not. We had asked a gal in Uig where it was and she had told us just follow "that road" and all of the sudden you will go around a bend and know you are... More
