Spent a November weekend near Calgary Bay in Limetree Cottage. Beautifully designed open-plan living with spectacular views towards the beach. Warm tiled floors, log burner and lots of little extras which made our stay comfortable and relaxed. Owners very friendly and happy to answer our questions regarding the design of the house. Enjoyed the Sculpture Trail in the woods nearby.

This is a truly unspoilt area. There is a profusion of very Scottish colours and some interesting wildlife. The sea is always a source of interest, there are seals and dolphins to watch and inland across the bracken, heather and moorland expanses the buzzards and Eagles sail.

I find myself dreaming of this expanse of empty white sand a lot since our return. Just loved every second of the beauty, fresh air and peace of the place. My little one couldn't get enough of the rocks! A truly stunning place that is worth the journey to see. Wish I could live there....

We have been to this stunning beach a few times and make an annual visit to it every October on Rally week. We have always been lucky with the weather, however not been hot enough yet to test out the waters properly. Would always recommend and always good for a family day out :).

What a beautiful beach - lucky enough to visit on a sunny day and it felt like I was in a different country. Very quiet beach with only a handful of people there. Would have been lovely to have taken a picnic. I'm looking forward to going back!

I visited Calgary Bay A couple of years ago during a road trip round the Isle of Mull and we stumbled upon Calgary Bay. The weather was sunny, making it incredible conditions to walk around the bay. I would tell anyone visiting the Isle of Mull to seriously come here, especially on a beautiful day. A must!

I thought the silver sands of Morar was the most beautiful beach in the UK until we discovered this absolute gem, recommended to us by the ferry man. The White sand is like flour, you can leave it in your shoes all day as so soft! The bay is idyllic, the sea the clearest blue/green with gentle lapping waves. Had... More
