My 8 year old daughter had a wonderful trek today, expertly led by Jean and Abbey. The ponies are lovely and energetic and the setting absolutely beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our first canter!

You won't find a better setting for a ride. Wide beach and stunning hills. Incredibly helpful and knowledgeable staff who cater to all abilities. As long as you remember you waterproofs, you won't have a better day. Not expensive and worth every penny.

Neither me, my husband nor our two daughters had ever ridden before so we half-expected to be led round a large field. Nothing of the sort - this was amazing. We made it to the top of a hill for the most spectacular views and then down the other side for a ride in the sea. Jean was lovely and... More

Liz and Jean at Killiechronan are extremely friendly and highly skilled. They match the horse to the rider and inspire confidence in the most timid of humans. We were a large party of adults and kids, the vast majority of us with no experience at all. Liz, Jean and their staff made sure everyone had a brilliant experience. The setting,... More

The staff at the Killiechronan Centre are very friendly and helpful. The ponies are well-acquainted with the routes taken, and so the rider doesn't need to worry about where he/she is being led. The Centre gives the option of a hill-ride or a beach-ride (or both, for a bit extra). We took a beach-ride, where there was good opportunity to... More

We returned to Killechronan for a ride myself and my eight year old daughter. We again booked by leaving a message which was promptly returned. This time, tides meant that we went for a hill ride. I was a little disappointed that we weren't going to the beach. I needn't have worried. I have ridden a little bit so had... More

I booked to take my 10 yr old twins on a novice hill ride early in the week. They enjoyed it so much they decided to pay for themselves to go on a novice beach ride later in the week. The ride was 'exciting' for novices, and felt like really riding. The ponies were enthusiastic. The views from the hill... More

We were blessed with a beautiful day for a family pony trek on the West coast of the Isle of Mull. We are a mixed ability group - I'm a reasonably competent trekker, whilst my husband and children have various degrees experience from a respectable trot to none at all. The ponies had been selected to be appropriate to our... More
