This place has pretty much everything that you want if you like the outdoors at no cost. The walks are brilliant (appropriate footwear advised, especially in winter)with plenty of options for your ability. I love bringing the dogs here for a run and finish off with some hill sprints at the house. The swing park for the kids is really... More

The resturant is in the main building a an annex. Chatelherrault country park is one of our most visited place as our dog loves it there. The cafe is run by South Lanarkshire council so is good value for money.

Lovely park with plenty of parking, kids love the woodland walk but if you go too deep in it can take hours to walk back to the car park. Great park though and well kept.

What an awesome place to visit, steeped in history. Lovely woodland walks, visiting old castle remains. Well worth seeing.

Beautiful park with several play areas for kids and lovely forest walks. Playparks are modern for the children and lovely grounds to explore for a family visit

Interesting. Hiding and the walks in the grounds are superb. Internally the building is rather mundane but watch out for the uneven floors.
