I thought that this site was really good. It is very authentic and has various attractions, from the eerie annie, a resident of the village when it was still up and running, to the school room. Although quite difficult to get to, it's great for tourists and Scots. I went for my birthday a few years ago with some friends.... more

fabulous renovated buildings with a real sense of social history, wonderful picturesque scenery complete with nature walks along the Falls of Clyde with three waterfalls. First I must point out that this wonderful World Heritage site is a very long way from Stirling - it is much nearer to Glasgow and Edinburgh, and its nearest Airport is probably Glasgow.
