Really nice part of Ayr, well kept, clean and tidy, and very pleasant area for a gentle stroll in nice weather.

I live local so it is what it is...a low expanse of green, great for picnics with tables to sit or just bring a blanket. great for the family as plenty of room to run about a play for the little ones, amusements park beach and crazy golf within meters and toilets at the park so a good place to... After shopping in Ayr. Which has some nice shops. . We went to Elliot's in prestwick for lunch. They have a glass front area , which is nice & airy. The staff are most helpful & polite, the service is quick. Lunch is great !!! The menu has a good variety. Well worth a visit. As they do teas/ dinner... More

I can't believe the low green is on trip adviser described as an 'attraction'. The low green is basically a big bit of ground covered in grass with a dirt path going through the middle of it. When it rains it's marshy and is used by dog walkers as a toilet for their pooches all year round. There is dog... More

I was born in Ayr, and lived there throughout childhood so from personal experience can say the Low Green has not changed in almost 60 years which is fine in a way, but surely it could be made a little more attractive? There are still the same marshy bits when it rains! The paddling pool is still in cement (the... More

I walk my dog here every single day and love it, it is very well kept, however I notice a lot of dog walkers clearly don't clean up after their pup's and there for I worry that kids will end up with poop on them. I know it is the responsibility of the dog owners but if there was a volunteer... More

Best place to spend time with a budding footballer or a cyclist who is looking to lose the stabilisers! Grass is always well looked after and very few items of rubbish. My only gripe is the really really minority of dog owners. You can guess!
