Our 1st time at Ayr races..there is plenty of room around the parade ring with lots of different bars..there weren't open on the day we went it was quite quiet..under the main stand the area was nice with bars n cafés..it's a nice view from the stand to watch the racing.

Although the 'general' inside area of the racecourse building is a little tired looking the food was excellent. The hot foot was HOT, and the chips were bigger than the silly fries from McD or KFC. A steak slice and chips was £5.50, coke £1.50, a muffin £1.50 and coffee £1.60, which are probably comparable with prices elsewhere, and all... More

Way too busy on on the national weekend. Should not have taken out the front walkway from the bookies to to the parade ring a few years ago. You have to more or less fight your way throught the large crowded bar created underneath to get betweeen the two areas. The racecourse improvements were needed but for a person who... More

Our first time at the races, great atmosphere, and had Them Beatles performing in the tent but the cost of a drink/food was way over the top, definitely NOT enough seating areas, not taking into account the older generation. staff need to learn to smile though, but we still had a great day, the brilliant sunshine helped.

Fantastic day at the races, a little flutter on the horses & plenty excitement watching them race. A day for dressing up & feeling special with loads & loads of fun. The band playing later at night was fab too, a wee dance & drink to finish off a perfect day. Most definitely a day out to remember.

Had a brilliant day at the races on the first day of the Scottish grand national meeting at Ayr racecourse The atmosphere was relaxed and everyone was in good spirits. Not much on offer for kids at this event and the food was expensive so be aware

Scotland's top racecourse located in the old town of Ayr very well attended with plenty of food and beverage outlets well worth attending the Ladies day events and of course the Ayr Gold Cup as well as the Scottish Grand National

I have had the pleasure of once experiencing the hospitality at Ayr races and thoroughly enjoyed it, the quality of the food was first class. Unfortunately i have also experienced the ordinary fare they try to pass off as food to the "normal" punters/ customers on two occasions, each as bad as each other. A luke warm burger on a... More
