Belleisle golf course is regularly rated in the Top 10 of UK's public courses, for good reason - the course is a magnificent example of James Braid's vision. The signature hole is the 6th which offers fantastic views across to the Isle of Arran and the 13th is a really tough par 4 which will ruin many a card.

Nice parkland layout. Lots of 'different' holes. Bunkers are really strategically placed. A must play if in Ayr. When hotel and pro shop are done, this will be absolutely awesome. Go play!

Fantastic parklands course with loads of tests and difficult holes, will be even better when the "hotel" is refurbished. Worth every penny

Great golf course pity that the food facilities are very limited but are sufficient. The hotel is about to be refurbished

despite the previous weeks weather we played and extremely enjoyed our round of golf. Understandably some of the holes were closed but, the rest of the course was in excellent order. Starter was helpful with directions Catering. Very tasty filled rolls Professional. cheerful with some handy tips. the only negative was there were no hole numbers on the tees

I don't play golf, but I know people who do and they enjoy Belleisle! The entrance is through Belleisle Park which is on the coastal road out of Ayr. Coming from Ayr, take Racecourse Road (which, just to confuse you) is nowhere near Ayr Racecourse! It is so named as the original Racecourse used to be out before Belleisle Park!... More

an excellent golf course, great layout and fair test for all catagories of golfer. The course is still in good order although not as well looked after as in years gone by. The professional's shop is closed at the moment due to the renovation of the Bellisle House Hotel. I do hope it will re-open as it was one of the... More
