My wife and I have been to this great little theatre numerous times. They put on a great season of plays which are always acted superbly and professionally. The theatre stands nestled in a small valley next to the river which is an idyllic spot especially in the summer. The building itself is very well laid out with a very... More

We recently attended the production of The Ladykillers and it was really excellent. The theatre is in a lovely location and is a pleasant building. A coffee shop or restaurant is available and a little shop too. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the theatre itself is comfortable and well appointed.

We always try to visit this great little theatre from Edinburgh once a year. This year it was a new stage version of The Ladykillers - a highly amusing romp, very well acted, with a highly imaginative set. You can get lunch and dinner at the theatre. One tip - because the seats are so well raked, it really doesn't... More

Another good play at The Festival Theatre. The scenery was simple but portrayed the script perfectly.

Lovely friendly theatre with a nice restaurant & shop. Not quite the show my husband would choose. However, that is trivial as I enjoyed the performance

The actual theater itself is a brilliant size to ensure everyone has a good seat and a good view. The production itself (The Ladykillers, November 2014) was really well done with some genuine laugh out loud moments and creative set changes. All facilities were clean and well kept, nice gift shop and cafe / bar to grab a drink before... More

We wanted to see the Festival Theatre but were short of time but just stopped for tea and sandwiches. Whilst not a fantastic range of food we were given two salmon mayonnaise sandwiches for the price of one! Very nice too!

Parking is great. Good choice of plays with an internal restaurant with adds to theatre experience. Always want to return.

Another great night out, lovely meal and great fun play (the ladykillers). The theatre is easy to get around, very nice surroundings and the sets on stage were amazing for a small theatre. Never had a bad night out here.

Hello Susan, Thanks very much for leaving such a lovely review. I'm very glad to hear you enjoyed the performance of The Ladykillers. For a small theatre we pride ourselves on West End production values, and indeed the set for The Ladykillers (designed by Ken Harrison) is something truly special. We're lucky to enjoy such a beautiful location here on... More
