I visited Scotland for the first time in September. I made arrangements with Scott from Skinny Tyres for an afternoon ride. Scott handled all of the details and made everything easy. All I had to do was to pack my bike shoes and pedals. Scott structured a ride from the village where I was staying and he arrived with the... More

I booked a training ride with Skinny Tyres ahead of the Etape Caledonia and it has helped immensely, not only with my preparation for the Etape but also with my cycling in general. Scot was friendly, motivating and extremely patient, and provided constant coaching and encouragement throughout the day. Advice and direction on descending, cornering and climbing have given me... I joined a Skinny Tyres weekend as a novice cyclist who'd signed up for the Etape Caledonia. My worries evaporated once I met the other cyclists who were just like me! Scot, Erni and Toby are outstanding coaches and, over the weekend, built my knowledge skill and confidence. They are all very experienced and keen to share with other cyclists.... More

The weather forecast for the Weekend of mar 16/17 was foreboding to say the least. It was not what I would ever previously have considered as having any potential for cycling. However, kitted out in great inclement weather gear from Escape Route Pitlochry and positively motivated by Scot we set out in bracing conditions which turned into snow quite soon!... More

Thanks for the great feedback Jan. We're glad you had a good weekend and that you learnt lots of stuff from the rides. Shame about the weather, but you definitely showed a lot of determination to ride in conditions that you've never done before Best Scot More

Skinny Tyres' Etape Training Weekend gave me all I hoped for and more. Our group, including me, were all new to road cycling and more than a little anxious about the mileage, getting up hills, getting down hills, what to eat and drink, what gloves to wear... you name it, we didn't know about it. Scot's advice, support and expertise... More

Glad you had a great weekend and got lots out of two of our other guides, Toby and Jon coming along on the Sunday's ride. You were flying at the end of the last day, so you'll have no worries with your ride in Malawi. Best of luck and let us know how you get on. Thanks Scot More

Being a social female rider, in a group of friends who rode the Atlantic Raid, I was unsure if I was capable of the six day cycle. Much to my surprise I found I was not out of my depth mainly because of the help of Scot and his team. At no time was I pressured or felt unable to... More

As 1 of 9 to travel to Scotland from Australia to participate in the Atlantic Raid, the Skinny Tyres crew more than exceeded our expectations. They were professional, engaging, organized and excellent cyclists. The route was challenging, rewarding and once completed, provided for wonderful bragging rights. We highly recommend this tour and will be back for further adventures with the... More

I cycled with Alan C from Lands End to John O'Groats and we couldn't have done it without Scot. As a cyclist, with much more cycling experience than us, he knew exactly what was needed to make sure our trip as trouble free as it could be. He's a fantastic photographer as well with an eye for some superb cycling... More

We hired Scot and Skinny Tyres for a one off Lands End to John O Groats support vehicle. We got a lot more than that, not just transportation but cycling advice, encouragement and motivation, well stocked car boot with all sorts of high calorie goods and mechanical support. Over 920 miles he had an uncanny knack of knowing when we... More

The accomodation is of a very high standard and all meals are included, they even cleaned our bikes after the ride on the first day!
