With the rhododendrons in bloom, all colours. the park is looking good. Butterflies abound, ducklings , the little grebes have returned and the squirrels are as mischievous as ever.

A great place to visit.

Have lived a few miles away from here all my life and can remember back in the 80s at easter time when all the families use to go there and they had loads of attractions on.a beautiful walk and always a great place to come to get away from it all.

My husband is a keen fly fisher and we arranged for a late finish on Sunday. I decided not to go out in the boat as they wanted a £5 charge and I don't fish! I walked the dog round the park.
The owner came and was hiding behind a tree when my husband saw him, and did not introduce himself only shouted to my husband on being noticed! Then on arriving back home, we got a call on Tuesday to accuse him of not leaving the key supplied which was then followed up with a call 15 mins later to say after a proper look it had been found! We have family in the area and visit many fisheries, despite being a favourite we won't be back!

No fishing for me but as a walk it's very nice, you have the choice of a short walk or longer ones with veering degrees of effort nice and relaxing

Todays walk around the two lochs revealed three butterfly species, an energetic squirrel, a dragonfly laying her eggs on the bank, and at the bridge two male dragonflies 'dogfighting' like a pair of Spitfires. Some interesting birds, plants and fungi.

Far more than just a walk, so if you do go, take the time to walk quietly, watch and listen, as the wildlife is there all around you.

Nice walk round a nice view lake takes about 30 mins to a hour to walk round . Fishing is available in the lake in the way of fly fishing but I think you need a boat as well as the banks are quite steep in places . Also nice picnic area with large grass area for kids to run about
