The eastern side near Kingstep is very nice. You can walk for miles down the beach (instead of the western area close to the city)

Lovely beach with soft white sand and pebbles, sea goes out a long way at low tide, great for the kids and dogs to play on, plenty of facilities nearby including cafés and a park for the kids, thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all!!

Deserted, but certainly very "yesteryear" with plaques every so often describing Nairn in years gone by.

My favourite beach so far is Clearwater on the gulf of mexico, but little did I know that there was a great runner up so close to home. Pristine white sand and no litter!

I have holidayed in Nairn all my life and this is simply the best place in the world. Golden sand stretching for 8 miles, stunning views of the Moray Firth, seals and dolphins, seabirds, wild flowers and the perfect place to spend the day with the family.

Just a few miles away The Croft at the Cranford is an amazing B&B to stay at to visit this beach. It is clean. Visiting early afternoon there was a slight warm current! I didn't stay long, which now i'm thinking i should have after seeing it rated as the 10th best beach in the UK (current list now).

Stunning beach which is great for kids. when the tide goes out it leaves large pools of water which get quite warm in the summer, great fun to play in with your kids. We have been swimming in the sea the past 2 summers and it's always great fun. A really lovely clean beach!

Back in the 60's the Beatles sung: "Good day, sunshine". It was sunshine, Lots of people on the beach. Nice ice, local made, good rest for us.
