Many people believe that this brooding lake in Northern Scotland, 21 square miles in size at an average depth of 800 feet, could certainly hide a large dinosaur-like "monster," the lake's long-time and elusive resident.

We traveled from Glasgow to Loch Ness and then back through Aberdeen to Edinburgh. While there is no denying Loch Ness is beautiful there were far better Loch's with better access to the front of the water.

We took a daylong tour out from Edinburgh to visit Loch Ness. Loved the view of the Scottish Highlands on the way .....arrived there and the first look was breathtaking. Took the cruise and like many thought we had spotted the mysterious Ness....it was amazingly lovely. Serene and tranquil.

Honestly, I feel that Nessie made this place to what it was. There is nothing much here but a large body of water with very nice surrounding. I was told there were many other lochs which is more beautiful

We stopped at the Clansman to view the lake. We visited this attraction as part of a large group and there were several coaches here when we arrived. They manage the parking very well and there is safe access to the Loch and the jetty from the visitor centre. We visited on a day when there was a bit of... More

Best way to see the Loch is by boat. Locals take you out for a good 45 minutes with all sorts of local tales about boats that have been lost in the waters and of course Nessy. Cabin can accommodate a few people, rest sit outside (see photo). Was here in July 2013. Weather was cold on the water, so... More

If you are travelling along the 'east' side of Loch Ness you can have a nice stop at Faraig Forest Centre. It is signposted just after you have entered Inverfarigaig and is on the road to Errogie, 100m on the right. It has parking, toilets, picnic area, information board and leaflets. You can use the picnic bench and you can... More

A must see if you're in Scotland. The loch is breath taking. I took a tour and it was windy but worth it. The history of Nessie is very interesting!
