We called in when enquiring about taking a train trip. This charming little place is clean, well lit, friendly and has a rather interesting range of souvenirs. We found a few interesting items that differ from the run of the mill stuff offered in so many other locations. We could have got a coffee there if we had wanted one.... More

When we arrived in Kyle of Lochalsh there was an old Pullman train in so we went in to the station to see it, While there we visited the Visitor centre and were not disappointed, the history of the Kyle railway and the old Pullman sitting outside went so well together. It turned out the old train had come from... More

The Museum gave a history of the line which is obviously supported by and enthusiastic friends group.

Visitor Centre ok for a 10 minute visit if in the area, nothing else to do in Kyle unless board a train or buy some souvenirs.

A friendly place that volunteers have put lots of time and effort into. Lots of information about the line and the station along with a gift shop selling local crafts and interesting books.

A lovely display of memorabilia telling the story of the line. There was a very modest charge advertised but we were not charged on entry.

A welcome awaited us on a rather damp day. There is a shop and small museum with reasonable admission rates. It was very quaint and old fashioned.

Such a shame, could have been so much more. Kids were desperate to see trains but unfortunately what was there was beyond their understanding. Good for a rainy hour, but little else.
