I have been here with a group of 8 friends while traveling around Scotland. We found this distillery in Fort Williams by the end of our trip on the way back to Glasgow. The staff was fine and opened a last visit session for us. It starts with a funny weird movie about the place and the history of the... More

I came to visit never having visited a distillery before - not expecting too much - it is only a fiver after all.How wrong was I! started with a hilarious but informative film. We were told we could photo and film and poli tely asked not to use our mobiles- nice touch. Followed by a great tour conducted by John... More

Having visited many Distilleries in Scotland i thought i would give this one a go. I wished I had done something else. Firstly you are took into a cinema room to watch a pathetic video of a giant and how he built Scotland and discovered Whisky, obviously all fairytail stuff....come on do the tourist a favour and tell the truth... Visited here with a group and I had expected that the 'tasting' at the end would be more than a tiny drop of one whisky considering that they had several different types on sale. The guide was pleasant enough and knew his stuff but he was a little full of himself and clearly couldn't wait until Scotland separated from the... More

We visited four different distilleries in Scotland, the tour through the Ben Nevis was the worst by far! The guide was totally bored, spoke far too quiet and used to talk in the areas of the distillery where it was loudest. I understood almost nothing. Plus: the whisky is cheap p***, the good news is that this doesn't matter, because... More

Our tour started with a silly 10-minute film. Following the film, we were led on the tour by a bored guide who reeled off a canned presentation. The presentation wasn't clear on several points, and the guide responded to questions in a dismissive and unhelpful fashion. If you're in the area and want to tour a distillery, I'd recommend the... My wife and I took the 10:00 a.m. tour on August 4th and enjoyed it. The tour guide was very personable with a good sense of humor who gave a fantastic overview of the Scotch making process. She was able to answer any questions posed by the approximately 20 guests. The tour lasted about a 1/2 hour and ended with... More

This is a short tour of the distillery, takes no more than 30-40 minutes with a great 10 minute video to start showing the history of whiskey ans the distillery. Has a small cafe on site with a shop to buy some bottles of the whiskey. Lost of parking available with spending an hour here and not bad for £5.

By far the worst distillery on our tour. Do yourself a favor and drive to Oban (1 hour's drive). The staff were extremely arrogant and absolute in their opinions. The explanations were memorised word by word and he couldn't care less. Also, if you have to start your sentence with "I'm not a xenophobe, but ...", you probably shouldn't finish... More

We paid for this tour, which lasted 40'. I don't know why, but we were very bad informated by they. In fact they said to us to wait for ten minutes until starting the visit...but the visit was starting at the same time in other place. So we missed the first 10 minutes of the tour due to an irresponsible... More
