Disappointing in a number of ways. First of all one of the very few places that said we had to pay for tickets with cash because they don't have facilities to pay with credit cards for admissions. Secondly the tour was short and we did not see areas we expected to see after visiting many distilleries over the years. Finally... More

We called in Sunday 24th august. We didn't want to go on a tour but my husband wanted to try the whiskey. We had previously called in at the Tomatin distillery at the end of the day and were met with obliging staff and free tastings. Our experience here was very different! My husband went in with our friends before... More

Beautiful location, quirky video, tour of distillery and a taste of the water of life. If you're nearby, stop in.

Ben Nevis distillery has one of the nicest locations around for their distillery, nestled at the foot of the mountains. The distillery itself was not in operation, and frankly they could use the down time to clean up around the place. The stills area was fairly dirty and in need of repair, as were the cask storage areas (at least... More

Myself and my pal went for lunch today and a look around. It was well good and if you're ever in the area it's well worth a visit. You can have drinks and food, a tour round showing and explaining how whisky is made, then you can sample some and get this, buy some with discount. The staff were all... More

Dear, oh dear... Firstly after being told all tours were booked up for the day, we were told we would have to return the next day, and pick up tickets, but couldn't order them for the next day. On the second day we returned to be told the final tour was now a German speaking tour only, but the following... More

We stopped by for a tour and had a decent one for five pounds each. It began with a very hokey film. Our guide was friendly but not overly informative. The distillery was not currently in operation (only operates eight months per year) but we did see the equipment. We did buy a bottle of single malt as a souvenir... More

If you need something to do in the Fort William vicinity for a few hours that's inside, look no further. The staff were amazingly helpful and even tried to help us plan the rest of our trip. We had time for food in the cafe before the tour which was delicious and great value for money. The tour was informative... More

I don’t think this distillery is in operation. We were told this is a silent period while other distilleries were working. The tour had no substance, short and not interesting. Overall service by staff needs to improve. To top it all the whisky was not the best.

The whisky is lovely - which is a real shame as the shop and staff really let it down. The distillery and shop look like an industrial estate and poky back street bar - all dark and uninviting. There is a cafe but the staff were busy chatting. We asked for a taste and were told that you can only... More
