we had a visit here, although the weather for August was a little wet, the distillery was a warm welcome!. The tour of the plant was very informative and suitable for all, good pricing too£5 per adult! and £2.50 per child!. My daughters were kept informed all throughout the visit. Well done.

The tour here was terrific. It helped that our guide, John Carmichael, is an award winning presenter and has toured the world giving classes on the subject. We walked through all aspects of the process from beginning to the tasting. I had no idea that whiskey is beer - just distilled twice more. Great distillery and the product is quite... More

Great tour by John, learned a lot about whiskey, from how it's made to how to taste it, great in depth and good laughs at the same time

We were quite excited about having made it to Fort William and about having a few hours to spare on a Saturday before our train to Mallaig. We decided to go to the distillery as my dad (not on the trip with us) bought a hogshead of Ben Nevis whiskey 18 years ago and had it stored up there in... More

My wife and I went here with 2 friends and their 2 kids. The kids were getting a little antsy and it seemed like the distillery tours were on the half hour. I approached a very snotty looking guy at the counter and asked how long the tour lasted. Without looking up he said 40 minutes. We were discussing whether... More

We had heard about this distillery so made it a point to stop by. We were greeted with an abrupt "I don't think we have any more whisky to sell today" (really?) from an employee and the tours for that day were closed. We saw a busload of people coming back from a tour and they were hustled through a... More

The tour at the Ben Nevis Distillery was the best distillery tour that I went on while I was in Scotland (we did one other small distillery and two large distilleries). John was our tour guide and he explained everything with a level of detail that was illustrative but at the same time understandable to someone who had very little... More

this was my first distillery visit and it was so great I have to do my first time ever review on trip advisor- two in one! distillery was great experience from seeing feeling and tasting perspective I loved the whole thing. Our guide was a mature man with the driest humour ever! when I was there he was getting a... More

A fun and educational way to spend an hour learning about the history of Scotch whisky production in the highlands.

We took the tour on a sunday afternoon. The distillery wasn't working but the guide told us how things work. The tour was Ok but we were on the impression that it was a by heart learned story. It was a bit mechanical.
