Visited the disillery and there was no work going on due to weather conditions. Was advised by the guide we were better off not paying for the tour as it would not be worth it in his veiw. He then poured our group about 20 free shots of scotch and wished us a happy trip. Nice people

we visited here a few months ago and came back for a few days at new year, not a lot to do indoors at this tome so we came back to the distillery and brought our friends with us for their first visit. Our guide recognised us and welcomed us like old friends. While we waited for our tour he... More

We had a reservation for a group of 8, so there was no problem getting the tour. But the young man assigned to lead us seemed very new - he frequently lost his place in his explanations - and he was very difficult to hear over the equipment. The tasting room was the best - our barkeep made the entire... More

Grumpy old bloke at the counter advised that no tours run in the winter; something about 'tradition' and it being winter so the water is frozen ("no water, no whisky" I think his words were. Very patronising. Note: we saw water flowing everywhere - very mild winter in Scotland at the moment). So, I'd say if you're around this time... More

It was a rainy day when our party had a tour of Ben Nevis Distillery. The young lad gave a an informative commentary as we toured the site ending in the sampling room and shop. A bottle of The Nevis Dew was also bought. Its cheaper to by here than anywhere else in Scotland.

We recently were passing through and decided to stop by. Staff was unenthusiastic and seemed bored. They also didn't want to give any tours or provide any extra information about the scotch. Having stopped into a few distilleries at this point, we were surprised as all of the other scotch companies could not have been happier or more enthusiastic.

You need to visit the Distillery and take the tour at only £5.00. You get this back with the tasting at the end and the discount off the Whiskey in the bar area. Ian the young man who showed us around is very knowledgeable and it is amazing how they produce the whisky. A must see

I booked the executive tour which was worth every penny. My boyfriend really enjoys whisky so I thought he would get a lot out of the tour, we both did! It wasn't just informative but John added the personal touch making us feel so welcome. I apparently have a good nose! Highly recommended. Gavin & Elisa 😊

Went with a coach trip but as there were over 90 steps couldn't go round the distillery, saw the short film and then had to stay in the café whilst the rest of the party went round. The whisky prices in the shop were very good.

Its the first distillery trip we have been on and it was interesting and good value! Friendly staff the £5 tour with £5 off certain purchases paid for itself so a good deal all in !
