Hubbie + I visited yesterday for lunch. Unfortunately they are in the process of making menu changes, so the choice was a little limited however we still had a lovely lunch at a more than reasonable cost. Interesting pub - oldest in Inverness, some nice 'old' touches but also up to date with message screens, live music etc. Even a... More

The Gellions is the place to go if you are looking for a great evening of great music, friendly staff & a fantastic friendly bunch of regulars. We could not have been made more welcome. The night was made complete by having Schehalloin band playing there brilliant range of music & song. Cant wait for our next visit.

This is the oldest pub in Inverness but you wouldn't guess that from the inside. Great service and live music made for an excellent evenings entertainment prior to going for a bite to eat at Jimmy Chung's.

Straight out of the hotel and into this bar for a light lunch. Well cooked food, served on time and with a smile and reasonable value for money. Apparently, it's the oldest bar in Inverness - but it's more a sports bar now - with the tourists (including us) subjected to loud footy commentary from the humungous TV in the... More

We popped in past for a pint on a Saturday afternoon and could hardly hear anything for the football on the telly, completely drowned out all conversation, why? We went through to the back of the pub and ordered a toastie, it did exactly what it said on the tin and was good enough value for money. If you like... More

Gellions Bar is located pretty much in the centre of Inverness, on Bridge Street just a short distance from Ness Bridge. It styles itself as a traditional Inverness pub. It isn’t really. What attracts most people is live music every day of the week. The regular band is Schiehallion. The music is usually traditional Scottish, as in: Come by the... More

We just dropped in to hear the music! Crowded, friendly, standing room only...no one seemed to mind that we weren't buying anything! The young lads playing were great, music was loud, toes were tapping. Well located on Bridge Street right across from the Tourist Information Centre. With the door open and live music playing, you can't miss it!

After reading the latest report from an Aberdeen post, i can honestly say we have never had a problem in Gellions , with the locals, bar staff or bouncers. Always feel welcomed and never intimidadated with the locals how ever busy it may be. Great music and atmosphere with the very best of live music. Gellions is not only a... More
