On our way towards the battlefields of Culloden, we stayed in Inverness and asked the locals for a decent bar with atmosphere. We ended up here mixing it with the locals. Great fun. Great live music. Not all Scots want to fight like in the days of Mr Wallace. Reasonably priced and decent beer. Nice being near the river Ness.... More

Was out on the town with friends when we stopped in the oldest pub in the Highlands. They had a great musician playing, and a nice crowd. Definitely a good place to go for a drink.

Out for a wee night out after golf and happened into Gellions, cracking traditional pub with a real lively atmosphere. Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Good selection of beers and drinks available and prices pretty good. Only a disco on this night but the pub does do live music and ceilidh's as well. Great night had by all,... More

We came here 2 nights in a row also. They do have live music here every night, but not traditional. The pints were decent priced here too

Stopped off for a drink on a visit to Inverness. Great wee pub, busy and friendly. What we liked about it was that it was not one of these trendy places trying to be something they clearly were never going to be. Would definitely recommend and return.

I never knew a national anthem (of any nation, even mine!) could make me smile so much and clap and stomp and hum along until we popped into Gellions Bar one early Sunday evening and heard the band playing Flower of Scotland. It wasn't just the band though -- everyone in the bar had gotten into the spirit of things... More

If you like the above then this is the place for you. I was not a big fan. More of a prty spot than a place for a relaxing drink or a chat.

We were hoping to catch some Scottish music while at Inverness and we got just that. We were just walking down the road when we heard wonderful music from the Gellions Bar so we dropped by. The atmosphere was fun! People of all ages were there singing, dancing, or having their pint. :)
