My wife and I and our three small children (ages 6, 3, and 18 months) booked a scenic tour with Hugh Allison while we were in Scotland for Christmas. He picked us up at our hotel in Stirling and we spent the day touring the Highlands to Inverness. He is very accommodating, was great with our kids (my 6 year... More

I did the Outlander tour on Sun 23rd Nov, and then the Eilean Donan/Skye Tour on Mon 24th, both with Hugh Allison. I was traveling on my own, so I opened up my tour date to share-a-tour, and was finally joined by one other companion, Judi. She eventually joined for both tours, and not only did we share a tour,... Scotland has been my dream trip for several years. As an Outlander book fan, I had heard through Facebook recommendations (and also from the book author Herself) that Inverness Tours was the way to go. When I first booked the air tickets for my 2-week Scotland holiday, my next step was booking Hugh Allison as my guide. I quite literally... More

A journey through spectacular vistas to vistas plain fantastic. The long lakes, castles and the eerie terrain of the Scottish Highlands... Our charming guide George Munro, who clearly takes pleasure in showing people around his native parts, was brilliant in choosing the most dramatic spots along the way for us to walk through and get a better feel of the... We spent a couple of weeks in Scotland in August and one of the highlights of our trip was the Outlander Tour with Hugh Allison. While more expensive, we opted not to open the tour to others. Hugh's knowledge of all things Scottish was quite amazing. My husband has not read the book so many of the references did not... More

We had a wonderful Isle of Skye tour with George Munro on Thanksgiving this year. George was extremely knowledgeable about the area, Scottish history, and also quite charming. We highly recommend George as a guide! We had a lovely visit and hope to visit again in the future!

We spent three fascinating days touring the Highlands with Hugh Allison in late September. His vast knowledge of history and culture, and charming personality, kept us entertained throughout the whole trip as he created a route that took in all of our requests. When there was a question that he could not immediately answer he always got back to us... More

I booked an Outlander tour with Hugh and then opened it up for the share a tour scheme - and spent the day with some new friends :) Hugh was incredibly knowledgeable and the scenery was amazing. I loved being able to see the places mentioned in the book, and others that represent places in the book (such as Lallybroch).... More

We spent a wonderful afternoon touring castles and cathedrals, and visiting the Whiskey Shop in Dufftown. Hugh's knowledge of the area, and his love of Scottish history made it both very enjoyable and educational. Being able to cater the tour to the four of us made this the perfect way to enjoy Scotland. I would not hesitate to book Inverness... More

I went on a tour led by Hugh that traced the story line of my favorite book, Winter Solstice by Rosamund Pilcher. Hugh did a wonderful job of not only showing me the places that are important in the book, but also gave me insights into Highland history and lore while experiencing the beautiful scenery along the way. It was... More
