Great destination spot for anyone looking for live music in the evenings as they have three stages. My favorite evening was on a Wednesday night-- Ceilidh jam session with all the traditional instruments!

Got there around 4.15pm on Saturday afternoon, and bar was very busy. Unfortunately the music finished at 4.30pm so we missed most of the afternoon fun. However there was another act on downstairs at night so again the atmosphere was good. Drinkers young and old were in th bear all having a great time. There was also another act on... More

Visited this amazing wee pub for the second time and both times they had a traditional Scottish trio playing a variety of toe tapping tunes which had the dance floor buzzing! Can't wait to go back next time we visit Inverness.

Really nice atmosphere, live traditional music every night and decently priced drinks. Went there quite a few times while in Inverness.

Hootananny's is my favourite bar in Inverness. I've been a few times by myself in the day with a book and never received any hassle as a lone woman. I love coming at night with company too as there's always live music and local beers. There's always a mixed crowd and the bar staff are friendly. Definitely go if you're... More

Such a warm, lively place. Three levels each with a different vibe. Great live music from local and visiting bands. Downstairs usually traditional, middle level can be anything, upstairs is the chilled area where they sometimes have an acoustic musician. Every time I go there we end up getting strangers up for a ceilidh!

You can listen nice live music. Beer is nice and you can also eat. I recommend this bar for all the tourists. I had a great night with friends there.

The bar was pretty packed when we went on the weekend, though the band was great and everyone was clearly having a wonderful time!

I went there every night while I was in Inverness and stayed til the pub closes; loved the atmosphere and of course the music! The bands played from a table in the centre and it felt very relaxed. The music was very good, something I'd paid good money for!
