Thanks to Ross our waiter who made the difference! Friendly fast and efficient. Food great and of high standard. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Only down side we didn't get to hear the band as my daughter was 16 and had to leave before it started.

I visited Hootananny on a Saturday night with 4 other friends. We got there as Ted Christopher was setting up. By the end of the night the whole place was absolutely jumping! Wide mix of people, couples, groups of friends, rugby teams! Definitely recommend if you're in Inverness. Now I just need to get rid of my hangover.

Four of us visited this pub on 31.10.15 because it had rave reviews. Unfortunately there was no live Scottish music on the evening we were there but we had booked a table and decided to eat anyway. The burgers ( 1 beef, 1 venison and 1 chicken) were over-cooked and dry, they were served on dry rolls with a couple... More

Guys I'm only giving this 3* as the wine was awful, it took ages to get served and we couldn't see the live music as they were round a table in the middle of the room. But what music it was, don't let my rating put you off of checking out a night there of live traditional music. Good end... More

Amazing pub... Downstairs traditional Scottish music and feel.. Upstairs is a good night out.. Fairly small place but most people are friendly and loads of regulars. Drinks average price.

Let's just say we had a hoot at Hootananny. No age restrictions, live Scottish music and great food. I enjoyed the chat with the manager on the history of the place and the Lovat house next door which happens to be the oldest house in Inverness. Great place.

Very busy when we went on Friday couldn't get moved. Squeezed in to the bar got a drink and had to drink it quick cos it was claustrophobic. Good bar service and live music every night.

This place is a gem. A rather famous one in Inverness though. The live music starts at 21.30 and its different every night. Go for drinks or go for dinner- we did both, and had the best fish'n chips on our trip, and a solid and tasty meat pie.

This was one of our favorite places in Scotland. We went two nights, and the music was just amazing! It can certainly get crowded--we never sat down--but it is a friendly, lively place. No cover charge, which would be hard to find in the U.S. One night, there were crowds dancing in the tiny space in front of the band.... More
