Water doesn't get much more mysterious than this 23 mile stretch running through the Great Glen in the Highlands of Scotland. There's no better way to experience Loch Ness than by boat. Jacobite's award winning tours and cruises get you onto the water and into the heart of this iconic landscape. This is a whole lot more than simply sight-seeing. We've been running trips on and around Loch Ness for over 30 years and most of us live here.

Right from the start with the excellent coach pick-up, this was a lovely trip out onto the Loch. The very smart Jacobite Queen is a beautiful ship and very comfortable, great crew, and facilities. This must be the best way to see Loch Ness in all of it"s glory. Watching the echo-sounder gradually showing deeper and deeper water under the ship... More

Our cruise was well organised. Very clean with a good little cafe. A really nice relaxing cruise, although I believe they also take Contiki groups, so those cruises might not be so quiet. We travelled with our 10 month old daughter and it was made really easy.

This is a wonderful way to see Loch Ness from the water itself.

In Invergordon the bus to Inverness was waiting for us. The transfer in Inverness to the tour bus was seamless. Our guide Allison was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. The cruise on Loch Ness was wonderful even though the boat was very full. Urquart Castle was phenomenal as was the scone with clotted cream and jam at the cafe overlooking the... More

We are travelers from Latvia and went for 2 hour cruise to Urqhart castle. The best variant to compare Lochnes and castle together, especially, if do not have a lot time to visit these sights separately by car or walk. The only dissapontment was for my 3 years old dauther, who didn`t saw Lochnes monster.

Our one hour inspiration cruise on loch ness was a good way to see some of the sights of the loch, in particular, the exterior of Urqhuart Castle. The boat had plenty of room to move around and take photos, and there was a bar selling drinks on board, although we never used this service. At various points a recorded... More

We are glad you enjoyed your trip with us. We are looking at our commentary in depth but we do provide written guides in many languages including English - they are located in the bar area, so perhaps that is why you didn't find them. Thank you for taking the time to comment and we hope to see you again. More

From the minute we left the quayside (bang on time) to our return 1 hour later, we had a most magical experience. The weather was a bit chilly, but dry. The scenery is amazing and you feel so small with the towering hills and the enormous and dark Loch Ness beneath you. When we arrived a Urquhart Castle it was... More

The Jacobite folks do a very good job! They don't overplay the Loch Ness Monster angle, having some fun while giving a nice tour of the lake. They have many options of time and attractions. We took the two-hour "Friendship" cruise from the Loch Ness Clansman hotel to Castle Urquhart (30 minutes), one hour at the castle (just barely long... More
