Description: Water doesn't get much more mysterious than this 23 mile stretch running...
Water doesn't get much more mysterious than this 23 mile stretch running through the Great Glen in the Highlands of Scotland. There's no better way to experience Loch Ness than by boat. Jacobite's award winning tours and cruises get you onto the water and into the heart of this iconic landscape. This is a whole lot more than simply sight-seeing. We've been running trips on and around Loch Ness for over 30 years and most of us live here.

We booked our cruise at the tourist office in Inverness, but when we were due to board the coach to the harbour it turned out that the clerk had booked us in for a wrong date. We had no more time to reschedule and had to settle for a much shorter cruise without getting a refund (about £30 all in... More

My husband and I arrived in the beautiful port of Invergordon August 21st by way of cruise ship. We took bus 25X o High Street where we met our Jacobite tour group at the Inverness Bus Station at 10:15. This particular tour was 3.5 hours. It included traveling through Great Glen and a cruise on Loch Ness. One hour visit... More

We took the Temptation trip from the bus station. The whole trip was very enjoyable. We were so lucky with the weather, which helped as Loch Ness was really picturesque. There was a great deal of information given throughout the trip and our driver, Sue was excellent. We did find a problem getting the correct bus at the bus station.... More

We sailed on Loch Ness on Jacobite Rebel boarding it at Dochgarrochwith Lock. The boat is new and very nice. There were 13 of us including baby, children and elderly. The cruise was lovely. Weather perfectly clear and sunny to let us enjoy the stunning scenery to the max helped by the informative commentary provided. The facilities are excellent and... More

We chose the freedom tour which includes an hour stop at the Urquhart castle on the shores of Loch Ness. I was thrilled to be on the lake itself and have time to explore the ruins of the castle. The boat takes half an hour to get to the castle, we got off with an hour to explore, then we... More

We took the one hour round trip cruise on the loch which passed an hour quite nicely, there was lots of information about the loch broadcast as well other information freely available, just be aware that being so popular can mean car parking spaces can be hard to get sometimes/

We stumbled across Jacobite whilst driving towards the castle and decided to have a quick look in the Nessie store. We had a wander down to the mini harbour after to a look around. We was lucky and that there was a boat due in, so we decided to do the two hour tour with a stop at the castle... More

Although the weather was rainy and cold, the warm indoor seats allowed us to view the Loch Ness and get information about it from the narration. Food and restroom were a bonus.

The Jacobite Cruise with visit to Urquhart Castle was worth it. We booked online in advance, so getting on board was easy. The day was sunny and great, so the boat ride was lovely. Make sure to dress for the weather - even though the day was relatively warm it is chilly on the Loch if you want to sit... More
