Brilliant cruise, but bring warm clothing. The weather was great, as were the views along the canal and Loch Ness. The arrival at Urquhart Castle is amazing, with the lone piper playing on the ramparts, quite moving. No Nessie, but would strongly recommend the tour. Alison, the bus driver kept us all entertained on the way back to Inverness.

Just love the freedom of setting sail on a cruise on the water, especially on the Loch Ness , which stopped off to view the Uruquart Castle, where we had an hour's visit. Unfortunately the trip was ruined due to the really torrential rain, we had, nevertheless we managed to see most of the ruins of the castle . Luckily... More

A cruise of Loch Ness is an absolute must, i can't believe i haven't done this before. The skipper and crew are extremely welcoming and knowledgable of the whole trip. The boat was very clean and warm inside, the outside areas are also very well kept. Great coffee served on board also, will do it again.

Though my partner and I are not exactly cruise enthusiasts we really did enjoy this trip which began and ended at the accommodating Clansman Hotel.* The boat was clean and comfortable and the crew both polite and attentive. Snacks drinks and gifts were all reasonably priced. I highly recommend this Company to the beautiful area's visitors. * Superb bacon butties... More

Forewarning, getting on a boat in the middle of a large river in an area known for chilly rain and wind means you will be cold. So long as you are well aware of this then go on this trip! The scenery was stunning the entire trip down the canal and all the way out to Urquhart Castle. The castle... More

A cruise of Loch Ness is definitely something you should do if you are in Scotland and you should definitely do it with Jacobite Cruises. The whole trip was extremely well organised and professional. Greatly informative and thoroughly enjoyable. Nessie was a no show though!

We did the freedom tour which is from clans man harbour to the Casals than and an hour stop Over before the return trip. The boat was immaculate and the staff very efficient. The trip was lovely and the time at the castle was perfect. A very nice experience, the only disappointment was not seeing Nessie. !!!

Very enjoyable. Kenny, our guide, gave a super and well informed commentary on the bus. You have plenty of time to explore Urquhart Castle, but it is best to wrap up warm and make sure you take waterproofs. The trip by boat up Loch Ness was spectacular.

Dear Reviewer, thank you very much for the fantastic feedback. Kenny is an informative and passionate guide and we are fortunate to have him working for us. The history behind Urquhart Castle is highly interesting and the scenery is stunning yet visitors should bear in mind that the castle is a ruin, so can be exposed to the variable Scottish... More
