Owner description: Water doesn't get much more mysterious than this 23 mile stretch running through the Great Glen in the Highlands of Scotland. There's no better way to experience Loch Ness than by boat. Jacobite's award winning tours and cruises get you onto the water and into the heart of this iconic landscape. This is a whole lot more than simply sight-seeing. We've been running trips on and around Loch Ness for over 30 years and most of us live here.

The cruise takes you on a great ride up the Loch to Urqhart Castle where you have enough time to explore the castle and the beautiful grounds. There is also a gift shop, but I found the gift shops in Drumnadrockit cheaper and more variety. We had a beautiful sunny day and enjoyed the information given by the Captain. A... More

Within many options of boat cruises the company offer, we chose the one that included a visit to Urqhart Castle. Perfect! A very well structured and safe trip, explanation folders about the loch story in many languages and a free guided tour in the castle! Don't miss it!

This is the second time we have enjoyed the 1 hour boat trip on Loch Ness. It is just long enough with 4 wee children. All aspects were excellent: service, expereince, cleanliness, friendliness. Staff took time with our kids and even supplied activity packs which we enjoyed afterwards when we got home. Many thanks to the team.

Sailed on the well equipped ship for the hour long trip today. Was dry but chilly. The commentary and music was very enjoyable.i think in the season this would be very popular, but being November there were only a handful of passengers.the salon was modern, warm and had glass on all sides so visibility was fantastic. Really enjoyed the experience.

Dear Reviewer, thank you for the wonderful feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the 1 hour Inspiration cruise with us. Due to the changeable nature of the Scottish weather all our vessels have an open top deck and an enclosed (and heated) lower deck, both of which provide ample views of the stunning scenery. All vessels also... More

The Loch Ness boat cruise that we choose was a 30 minutes cruise to the Urquhart Castle, where jumped off the boat for a one hour walk of the castle ruins. The boat returns every hour. Then back on the boat and enjoyed the ride up Loch Ness. The Castle ruins were spectacular and the photos ops were great! The... More

We were quite limited for time so only took the 1 hr option which took us up Loch Ness to Urquart Castle and then back again. Really was a lovely way to spend an hour and at £13 we felt this was about the mark. Boat itself looks like a family run business, people were so friendly welcoming us and... More

Dear Reviewer, thank you for the wonderful feedback. We feel that the Loch can by enjoyed by visitors of any age.
