Water doesn't get much more mysterious than this 23 mile stretch running through the Great Glen in the Highlands of Scotland. There's no better way to experience Loch Ness than by boat. Jacobite's award winning tours and cruises get you onto the water and into the heart of this iconic landscape. This is a whole lot more than simply sight-seeing. We've been running trips on and around Loch Ness for over 30 years and most of us live here.

We went on a temptation tour, with the greatest tour guide/ coach driver sue. In a highly entertaining manner she told stories about the local legends, nessie and the local area. We recommend Sue:) As for the trip itself - going by coach out of Inverness, sailing to the castle and exhibition and then bus back to Inverness (it was... More

We went on the 3 hour boat tour, and it was very relaxing & informative. The seats were inside with large windows, so it was very comfortable. The scenery was beautiful, but the castle was in ruins, not worth the extra money. We loved it, get there early if you want to get a seat.

My husband and I enjoyed a two hour cruise out on Loch Ness. The boat was comfortable, well equipped with coffee and snacks. It was cool on the outside Devi so nice to be in the inside. Covered area for a bit, I'm not very good on boatsdue to seasickness but the Loch Is very flat with magnificent scenery, so... More

We took a 3 hour round trip on the Loch on a dull wet day. The boat staff were great and very informative. Reasonably priced and we would recommend.

We did the Passion Tour. Our tour guide, Sue was amazing. After a lovely drive along the start of the Loch Ness we stopped to have a look around the Neolithic tomb, Carrimony Cairns. Then to the exhibition centre, which is very interesting and factual. We went to Erquhart Castle, got to sit down and enjoy lunch with lovely view.... More

The boat ride on the Loch was beautiful. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The tour of Urquhart Castle was worth the few extra pound. The two-hour tour left just enough time to view all the sites and still visit the gift shop. If you want more time to eat, shop, and visit the Castle layout, the three-hour tour would... More

My partner and I opted for the 3 hour Reflection cruise as we wanted as much time on the Loch as possible. The staff were friendly and the cruise was lovely, however the commentary is recorded and triggered by certain GPS points - this is a shame as cruises where commentary is provided live by a crew member are always... It was our second time on Loch Ness and we decided to go on a cruise to see the lake from a different perspective ; the guide was really helpful and the tales she told sounded intriguing. Unfortunately, we could not spot Nessie but we had a whale of a time.

Thank you for the great review. It's a delight turning up for work everyday as it is but it is all the more worthwhile hearing that people enjoyed their Loch Ness experience! The views from the boat offer magnificent views of the Loch that are simply inaccessible by road. Glad you enjoyed the guides commentary and stories. Thank you for... More

The cruise company offers a good range of cruise lengths from a number of different starting points. We took the 1 hour trip up the river and on to the loch as we only had limited time. The staff were friendly, helpful and informative, both at booking and during the trip. Our guide was interesting to listen to and added... More

Took two hour Freedom tour on a gray day with the sky drippin' and drizzlin' BUT we had a great time! The boat was modern, dry and good shelter and was very punctual. The information shared was interesting as we saw the loch depth & looked for Nessie (We had a 6 yr old with us, who love the trip!)... More

Thank you for the review in regards to the Freedom tour. It's a great way to combine a cruise with a visit to Urquhart Castle and there are views along the way of the Castle that are simply inaccessible by road. Delighted that you enjoyed it despite the dark and dreich day! Your feedback in regards to the amount of... More
