Owner description: Water doesn't get much more mysterious than this 23 mile stretch running through the Great Glen in the Highlands of Scotland. There's no better way to experience Loch Ness than by boat. Jacobite's award winning tours and cruises get you onto the water and into the heart of this iconic landscape. This is a whole lot more than simply sight-seeing. We've been running trips on and around Loch Ness for over 30 years and most of us live here.

While I did enjoy the package I had which was the boat ride and Urquhart castle docking, I found that I needed more time than the time they allowed. I am the kind of person that likes to enjoy all the stops and I felt very rushed.

Very warm and welcoming greeting when you arrive. We ended up on the newest boat which is very modern with refreshments and free wifi, and a great view of Loch Ness. There is a great narration which gives you lots of information and stories about the history of Loch Ness as you cruise the Loch. The only disappointment is that.... More

My husband and I decided to spend the morning exploring Inverness, and after some research of local cruises, we saw that Jacobite came highly recommended. Well we weren't disappointed! We paid approx £20 for a 1 hour cruise, plus 1 hour visit to Urquhart Castle - very reasonable price. It was a rather miserable day - cold and very wet,... More

This is definitely a must if you are near Loch Ness. We took our 9 year old son and loved the boat ride. We also did the trip to the castle which was really enjoyable. A truly wonderful and mysterious trip. We'll worth the money.

Just the right amount of cruise for a day trip. Comfy indoor seats and open and covered outdoor areas. Clean restrooms and nice variety in the snack bar. There's a soundtrack playing over the pa system that plays music and little info bits about the area you are cruising.

Dear Reviewer Thank you very much for the great feedback. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your time with us and found the vessel to be clean and ship shape (please excuse the terrible pun!). Due to the variable Scottish weather we offer both indoor and outdoor seating, both of which provide ample views of the fantastic scenery.... More

We had a perfect afternoon on this tour and our guide/driver (Sue) was so friendly, helpful and a fountain of knowledge. I loved listening to her facts! You are picked up from Inverness Bus Station and taken on a quick trip to the harbour where the boat collects you. The boat then takes you out onto Loch Ness and over... More

So glad we did this trip. We had a great day for it but it does get blowy as you get out on the loch. The captain gave us a commentary as we went along, of historical facts and points of interest. The trip was really enjoyable. We got some amazing photos of the loch and Urquhart Castle - the... More

We purchased the Freedom tour and were kindly given an extra hour to look around Urquhart Castle, given the time and day we went. The weather was sunny but cold, what else would you expect for February? The boat was warm, well stocked with hot drinks and snacks (we were generously given a free tea cake each with the purchase... Would highly recommend a Jacobite boat trip to experience the views of Loch Ness. We picked the hour long Inspiration cruise as we didn't have much time before we had to leave Loch Ness. It was great! Would recommend one of their longer cruises if you have time - you won't be disappointed. The boat is well maintained and clean... More
