Water doesn't get much more mysterious than this 23 mile stretch running through the Great Glen in the Highlands of Scotland. There's no better way to experience Loch Ness than by boat. Jacobite's award winning tours and cruises get you onto the water and into the heart of this iconic landscape. This is a whole lot more than simply sight-seeing. We've been running trips on and around Loch Ness for over 30 years and most of us live here.

Great Loch Ness experience!

We bought our tickets via internet (without any problem, everything worked just fine). Once at Loch Ness everyone was really kind! And the excursion unforgetable!

The views of the Loch are beautiful and that's about it. The castle was ruins with a limited history but an expansive gift shop. Worst of all was the museum. A series of rooms each containing a cheap film clip ending, of course, in a gift shop. Overpriced and underwhelming.

Have driven around lochness many times over the years and also visited Urquart Castle several times before, but this is by far the best way to see both, Great views from onboard especialy as you approach the castle.I was pleasently surprised as to how comfortable and modern the boat was , upstairs on the open deck you get great views... This Jacobite Cruise is a wonderful way to see the beauty of Loch Ness. We took the Freedom Tour which is a 30 minute cruise to Urquhart Castle, an hour to walk around the ruins which is ample time, and a 30 minute cruise back. The boat is excellent with a top viewing deck and lovely seating inside with information,... More

Absolutely amazing views of the castle and the loch. The tour was very informative and the boat was great. We were almost late and the staff were kind and friendly and still let us board our 11 o'clock cruise. The ONLY downside was getting to the clansman harbour. The local bus is irregular and overpriced and a taxi on a... More

Myself and a group of friends went on a Jacobite Cruise, the bus picked us up from Inverness bus station which was a very convenient and easy to find location for everyone. Our tour departed on time and our driver told us everything we needed to know about the history of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. The Cruise was fantastic... More

Fun day (3.5 hour tour - just right for us). Entertaining bus driver (Kenny) and boat crew very helpful with best scotch choices to enhance the trip and warm the body as it was very cold and windy (went with my 2 new best friends, ironically both named Glen - Livit and Fiddich. .

I couldn't recommend them more. We had a fantastic tour and amazing service. Phoned on my way while stuck in traffic coming from Aberdeen. Made it and nearly burst into tears when I saw at 13:55 that the 13:50 boat was waiting for us. After a 3 hour drive this was the perfect end to my sister's visit to Scotland.... More

Dear Reviewer You are most welcome! We do have a timetable to stick to so we can't always hold the boat for people but we do try where ever possible. Delighted to hear that you enjoyed the trip, hope you managed to relax a little after your ordeal! Thank you very much for the kind words. More
